The Wilson sisters have gotten some recognition (RnR HoF etc), but not nearly enough… they were way ahead of their time in an industry dominated by male artists and were simply fantastic writers and musicians. ❤

Yeah absolutely agree. First hard rock band fronted by women, surely paved the way for many more. Ann’s voice is incredible, she’s still got it too. I was watching some recent live stuff.

@Alexander Winston, True for their early stuff but this song (Alone) and most of their 80's resurgence hits were written by others.

Great lesson, as always. I've never thought about tapping but that insight with the pull-offs (pulls-off?) to a descending run was very interesting, and is a great sound. Will definitely want the TAB as well.
@SpedSpedding2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it actually serves as a decent little exercise tapping with the index as you descend. It’ll kinda throw you off with coordination at first but when it syncs it feels and sounds great. There’s simpler ways to start with tapping using open strings but nothing stopping you having a go.

An amazing tutorial on the solo.....I think there is just so many techniques to implement in this version. Thanks for doing this version so well and letting us all learn from it. Hopefully my face as the same effect as your thumbnail once I learn the whole thing!

Nice to have some Heart eighties-style. As usual, I'm a big fan of your camera angles and lighting- and what we see of the new place looks quite nice. Congrats!

Thank you very much! Glad you like what I've done here. Overthinking setting up in the new place as always but wanted to give it a fresh look. Dark and moody becomes bright and airy. Might keep it.

Literally a few weeks ago, this song came on, and it hit me like a ton of bricks that this was a phenomenal solo, that I should know....and went on a YT search to see if there were any good lessons out there on it. And then BOOM, a few weeks later, there ye be!!! 🤣 (which basically means, get out of my head, mate!! HAHAHAHA). Awesome lesson Sped, absolutely spot-on, as always! Rock on.
