I remember being so hopeless. I blame myself so much. I thought his speech delay was a reflection of me & my parenting. I always thought I wasn’t doing enough. He had NO WORDS before 3 years old. Fast forward: he’s 4 & he’s kicking butt. Speaks both Spanish & English. And you’re so right it pays off. Please moms who are out there be patient and always advocate for your child.

Raquel, thanks for sharing. So glad your son is kicking butt! We are bilingual and speak to him in Spanish. I’m trying not to worry and stay positive. Did your son ever go to speech therapy? If so when did he start?
@raquel39034 жыл бұрын
Chitabutterfy yes!! My older son is six so I knew that my youngest son had a delay. I was constantly comparing them which is not the best thing to do but I took action. So, he started early at 13months until 3yrs with ECI. Which is free with the state. We are in Texas. Also he had private speech therapy. Later, he was referred to the school district. And started PPCD at our elementary. Which is a awesome program & it’s what helped THE MOST!! With speech therapy twice a week & having an older brother I figured he would be talking in no time but it’s when they’re ready to talk.

Thank you for posting an update! Because of your earlier speech videos, you gave me the courage to enroll my son in local services. I’m so glad I did. He’s going to be 3 in one week and then switch over to the school district. We still have a lot of work to do but he’s made so much progress! To be honest, I was hesitant to get the process going because I was worried about what others would think. I know it’s selfish of me but I’m a reserved and shy person and didn’t want to deal with other people’s opinions. If anyone is reading this comment, don’t wait to get help for your kiddo. It’s best to start as early as possible! Again, thank you for your videos! ✨💖✨

how is he doing now? my son is 2.5 and only seems to make the first sound of a word, besides play sounds, like growling animals and automotive sounds, "Choo choo, vroom" and "Hi-ya!" when playing with swords. he really seems to enjoy learning new signs though, realizing he can communicate through sign language.

Omg! I don't know how I stumbled upon your channel but I cannot explain how much I can relate to all you have said about your son and his speech delay. My son is 3 year 3 months and has also been diagnosed with Speech Delay. He has been making steady progress but still cannot speak at the level of the average 3 year old. So hearing how we your son is doing now gives me hope. I have always been hush hush about my son's speech delay issues but because of you, I am now inspired to also create similar vids on my channel. Thanks a lot for sharing and love you DIY home vids as well...love your channel ❤

Thank you for posting an update! So encouraging and exactly what I needed to hear right now. My son has been in speech therapy & OT, several hours a week, for a year, he’ll be 3 in August, the progress has been soooo slow! It’s heartbreaking & frustrating. I am constantly stressed and feeling so guilty that I am not doing enough. But needed to hear this and snap out of the guilt and realize I have been doing everything possible to help him, need to let him progress on his own terms. Thank you for posting!

Hello - it’s great to see improvements with your son and thank you for this video. I am a mad woman going on google amd I see a list of autism and other lists like you mentioned. My 28 month old is extremely happy, very active, loves to run, and to be held, he knows most of his shapes, colors, numbers and alphabets. what is making me worried is that he’s not responding to his name, not pointing to things he wants, his eye contact is short. Did your son have any of what I mentioned about mine ? Worried mama here. Please advise.

Love the explanation of the videos ….In my household there are 3 languages being spoken and my 4 year old son isn’t really speaking anyone of them. He is speaking but most if not all the words he is saying no one can make out. Is that a speech delay.? What can I do at home to help him.
@DrakesNest2 жыл бұрын
I would talk to ur doc about your concerns I’m not a professional so I can’t give an opinion but I do know with multiple languages spoken it’s more common to have a speech delay. But speech therapy may help:) talk to your doc:)

Had a question for you. Couldn’t comment on the potty training video but was wondering something. I’m currently potty training my speech delayed 3 year old son. He’s been doing so good in signaling his underwear or simply walking to the potty when he has to go. My worry is if we’re outside or at store, he hasn’t found a verbal way to tell us. Was there anything else you might have a tip that you did with your own son? Thank you for your videos. This one especially. It’s so nice to know we’re not alone on this journey. That there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you thank you thank you!

It’s so hard to say my son potty trained pretty easily at three but I’m having actually a harder time now with my daughter who does not have a speech delay, so I’ve just learned that every kid is different and just to try different things constantly to see what works, best lot of luck :-)

Thanks to everyone taking their time to read this testimony on how my son was saved from Autism. He was diagnosed four years ago, and he's just 6, I have tried several treatments and medications, nothing was working out, this got me frustrated and depressed. I kept praying and finally God answered my prayers when someone from youtube introduced me to this doctor from his home country and gave me his contact details. I called and explained my son's condition after which I made an order for his herbal remedy, he asked for my address and the next day I got a tracking number for a parcel sent to me through DHL and after four days I received my order. It was a liquid herbal medicine and a letter containing the instructions on how to use the herbs, I called him again to confirm and the next morning I started giving my son the herbs as instructed and after one week I noticed great improvement on my son and I continued until the herbs got finished and everything lasted for just one month and now my son is totally free from Autism, he can now talk clearly, behave normally and has no more seizures. If you've been searching for a genuine solution for Autism, connect with this honest Doctor on Whats App + 2 3 4 8 0 7 7 6 8 3 1 0 9 or ( solutionhealinghome@gmail. com )

Hey! What a useful video, thanks for sharing your experience with your lovely child Please If you saw this comment make me a favor and answer me please I'm really worried about my girl She's 2.5 years She's speech delayed, knows some words but pronouns it in a completely different way like cat, food , water, candy, red, brown and she knows how to point at some of her body parts She got some behavior issues like anger , doesn't have patience at all We're in a country that not educated about speech delay at all so there is actually no speech therapist in the area Is she normal? I don't see autism signs, she's making good eye contact, responding to her name when she wants ans she understands most of what we say to her Some people make me feel guilty cause they're saying it's from too much screen time, do you think it is ? I'm really confused and worried about her She's not potty trained yet too and she didn't understand anything about it Sorry for the long comment and sorry about my bad English, it's not my first language Thanks for your helpful videos 💜💜
