You are a God sent savior (even though I am not religious...LOL)... my daughter asked me to caption a 20 minute video just a few hours ago on day of release of your video and I resubscribed to Cyberlink immediately and was done in less than an hour, just editing the captions... It had a hard time with Saskatchewan, but who doesn't.

I used this for the first time yesterday it was pretty accurate! Although it is worth checking the subs. We had a sub that said 'people coming through our hubs are given food and beheading' rather than bedding. Gave me a good chuckle

HI THERE. This is the GramGram who everyone thinks I am a video expert...... but that is just because none of my friends make videos and don't know I just do things by accident.... and correct errors by watching your videos. I just tried the Speech 2 text on a simple little video file. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!! If you knew how I did subtitles before..... it took me all night! And then reediting and reediting. There's no more excuses not to include captions with videos. One question, do you think it's better to burn the subtitles into the video? Or would you export to SRT and include that with the video when uploading to KZbin?

I don't use them often, but I like having captions available, and I'd like to use them in my videos to help others like me (i.e. old geezers who don't hear so well any more). I guess KZbin has gotten a little better at auto captioning, but it's still flaky, and I still turn it on sometimes just for the lulz. This looks like a helluva useful feature to have right in the editing software. Another useful video, for which I thank you.

I am a newbie and just uploaded my first video to KZbin using PowerDirector that has closed captioning. I noticed that when I added to video, KZbin has the option to add closed captioning. Since mine already had it, I just passed on this option. The problem is that now, the user doesn't have an option to turn cc on/off. So, I'm not sure what to do. If I want to have the option to turn them on/off, how do I do that by using PowerDirector? Thanks! Your videos are very useful!

Which version of 21 Do you have? Ultimate, Ultra, Essentials, etc. BTW, 365 is an annual subscription of the Ultimate.version of the program.

@@top40researcher31 SBS is still a national network broadcaster, but it's in *flagrant violation* of its licence category by running ads.Both SBS and ABC operate under a Category A licence(I don't use the word "Class" as that word implies a quality of programme not always evident). This licence category is *STRICTLY NON-COMMERCIAL* which means advertising is barred. It was a *BAD DECISION INDEED* to allow ads on SBS in defiance of the licence category. SBS was only supposed to run a couple of ads *BETWEEN* programmes but are now running ads *during* programmes, thus the *privilege* of running ads *MUST BE REVOKED!!!*

I used it for the first time today. My video was so long, I did not realize the subtitle track showed words - mine looked like an audio wave. After stretching out the timeline, I could see it (very cool!). Right now, YT seems to do a better job of transcribing, but this is easier to fix in PD than the YT CC editor. But I did notice a longer render time, and a lot more CPU heat. A great new addition, and another great tutorial! I just wish the update download was actually a download. Every new thing I want to try... has to download before the 1st use... but that is a new "feature" from CyberLink... not your fault ha ha 😎 (long time sub on my old channel - new sub on my new channel)

I have just confirmed via the PD21 "help" function and via the Cyberlink user forum that speech-to-text is not yet included with the perpetual license for PD21, only with PD365. You may want to update the description under this tutorial... Dan

WoW, it's Malik. I've not heard or seen you for years after I heard you were being tormented or something like that. (I think you did a video about it if I remember correctly)? So I see your back on here now as this video of PowerDirector with you in the picture just popped up, so I watched it. I don't have this program and I am now on Pinnacle Studio 25 Ultimate. (I could hear your voice saying that as I typed it, like you did at the start of each video LOL). SO IS THIS BETTER THAN PINNACLE? and or are you going to do Pinnacle again? Almost everything I learnt about editing videos was through your tutorials and help. As like the multicam tutorial for instance. I would play a bit of video and chop it out, then I would play a bit of another video and chop that out and then move them along the timeline to try and sync them up and join them together that way. Then I watched your multicam tutorial and was blown away with just syncing the videos together with clapping and then on the timeline, then just sitting there tapping on the 1, 2, or 3 ETC for the video I wanted to add to make the edited video I wanted and it was so bloody easy that I couldn't do enough multi cameras as I really enjoyed that, and so I kept updating Pinnacle to keep going and up to date. So I really enjoyed your work and was sad when you finished, but just seen this and glad you are still up and running. Really good hearing your voice again. That takes me back. Best Wishes Malik. I never stopped making tutorials, I just stopped making Pinnacle tutorials. I see you've been subbed to this channel for three months. Thanks for subbing. I think PowerDirector is better but you might think Pinnacle is better. It is all up to the user and his/her preferences. I'd say keep using Pinnacle if it works for you and you don't have any issues that PowerDirector would solve. Hope to see you watching more of my tutorials.
