Heya, thanks for reactiong to this song! The Subject of the Song is rather obvious and blatent, thats the reason I "love" this song so much. Its cruel, its direct, it is the truth. As a german myself, I can say for sure, the word "Auschwitz" is only whispered in public when used. People look around to make sure, noone heard them when they speak about it and it is still an unvoiced topic here. When I heard Sabaton singing "Auschwitz awaits" with full force, I paused the Song, went a few seconds back and listened again... and again... and again until I was 100% sure, that was the actual lyrics. For this, I have an incredible amount of Respect for Sabaton to confront this theme so blatently. If you, whoever reads this, ever have the chance to visit any Concentration Camp in germany, dont pass on the opportunity, its an experience people need to make for themselves. So is the Movie "Schindlers List" -go watch it if you have the chance. Its depressing, its defeating, its real. People shouldnt ignore this topic any longer, they should confront it, learn about it, and make sure it NEVER happens again... On another note, a recommendation for video making: Dont ask for likes and Subs at the beginning of your videos. People havnt seen the video yet and it might even be their first video ever, so instantly beeign asked for a like and subscription is much more unappling and annoying than everything else.

A powerful song indeed, and even more so the acoustic live versions. I've visited Auschwitz myself and man that was heavy as well. I totally understand what you mean by "loving" this song, as brilliantly it's written, it's not one you can hear too often.

@@dadwhatsfordinner Another thing I 4got to add: You should consider listening/reacting to "No Bullets Fly" preferably the Animated Story Video (otherwise you might not immediately understand the song). Its a much easier theme and quite the opposite of the the depressing vibe of The Final Solution. It showes that even during War, people see each other as humans, fighting for their countries.

You hit one of the really heavy ones here. Let us be honest, when it comes to the holocaust the scale is so mind blowing it is difficult to comprehend, and so heart-breaking personally I choke up when I try to discuss it. I saw someone else suggest "Price of a mile" - I certainly agree that is a good one about the senselessness of war. I would also suggest the animated story videos for "No Bullets Fly" and "Night Witches" that were done in conjunction with Yarnhub who do animated stories on history.

This is a powerful song. The scary part of it is that some people in this current time across the world don't seem to have learned from this dark lesson from the past or they simply don't care. Though I see history repeating itself there are still those who won't let the world forget the true history and as long as they are around there will always hope.💝

I heard something a few days ago that I can't help but think of when I think about this dark time. The last time the world let a crazy dictator go nuts with power, attack other countries, and just sat back and let that happen, look at what ended up happening. Hitler's rise to power. The same thing could be said with Putin and Ukraine. The world remembers what happened the last time a crazy psychopath when on a killing spree and they know that if they sit back and let Putin have his way, it's just going to be another Hitler. So I can see a lot of the world see Putin's actions mimicking that of Hitler and they know that if it goes unanswered, were gonna have another Hitler to deal with. Not trying to get political, just an interesting comparison.

Heavy topic, amazing song. When it comes to songwriting, Sabaton are the best! This is one of those songs that hits really hard. When a song does that to you, the songwriter has done a great job!💪 Not every musician has the ability to do that. That's one of the reasons I love this band so much. Great reaction, btw!🤘

i have heard this song many times, not only because i have a "digital copy" of everything they have, but i also like to watch, as you have seen, others react to Sabatons music..... this song hits me really hard because i know many of my Polish family were victims of what happened.... but none the less, i still listen to this song, to keep the story alive, because no matter how many people say it didn't happen... i can give names for proof who suffered

It's such a good song but makes me tear up every time. I am very glad there is a band like sabaton making sure events and people are never gotten, the bad and the good. It's important to know where we came from to know where we should be heading.

Very nice reaction to a very good song about a very hard subject. There are a few other bands that have written music about the Holocaust (Slayer, Anthrax, Disturbed among others) but most won't come near it. Thanks for taking the time to react to it, keep rocking.🤘🤘🤘

When you find yourself nodding your head to the beat and going with your foot or whatever and all of a sudden it pops up in your mind: "Wait, what are you doing there? This is an awful subject, you shouldn't like hearing about it. Is it alright to like that?" And that melody goes 'round and 'round in your head. Just random thoughts from a German dude here. @Dad, What's for Dinner?: What most do not realize is that the seeds for this were planted at the end of World War I. After the end of "The Great War," the Allies then (1914-1918) blamed Germany for the war, despite at least 7 other nations being part of the Central Powers. As a result, Germany was who suffered the most under the Treaty of Versailles. That being said, Germany then suffered under the economic conditions of the Great Depression that began in 1929. The German economy suffered _hyper-inflation,_ which meant something like this: A German man wakes up at 5 am. Getting around to go to his factory job (he is one of the lucky ones), he passes by a local bakery. A sign in the morning, at just before 8 am, has a loaf of bread at 140 Marks. When he comes to the bakery for a sandwich and tea, that loaf of bread has jumped to 1400 Marks. By the end of his workday, that same loaf of bread has jumped to 140,000 Marks. It is this kind of economic conditions that 98% of the German electorate elected Hitler as Chancellor in 1932. Also transpiring was that Wilhelm II abdicated the German monarchy as well, on 9 November 1918, two days before the end of World War I. So between 1918 and 1932, a democratic government had been in power, albeit limited in what they could do militarily. Germany, for instance, could not have a standing army of more than 100,000 men -- a very small army, given the sizes of other countries. It was partly this that Hitler ran on in his platform in 1932. Additionally, Hitler was both a socialist and a fascist. Fascism, in this original definition, would be defined as "The marriage of government to industry." In other words, because of Karl Marx writing Das Kapital in 1870, Hitler thought he could implement the ideas of Marxism, but he also detested the ideas of communism that Lenin and Stalin implemented in Russia after 1917. Thus, Hitler attained power on 1932. It must be remembered that these economic conditions made people desperate to have a strong German leader that the German people could be proud of. The problem began when the Hitler started supporting other strong-arm leaders such as Franco in Spain or Mussolini in Italy. The movie Sound of Music is very much true in how Hitler used ethno-centric arguments to take places like Alsace Lorraine, the country of Austria (which had been split into the modern countries of Austria and Hungary at the end of World War I), and the country of Czechoslovakia, all using the argument of _lebensraum,_ or "living space." At several points in the 1930s, British prime minister Neville Chamberlain, among other leaders, attempted to appease Hitler into not starting another war by giving in to his demands. It is why those who know this history say that the US should not appease dictators, tyrants, or terrorists. Because Hitler showed appeasement does not work. In 1936, Franco overthrew the Spanish government with Hitler's aid. It is because of this that the outright hatred of the Jews by Hitler became extreme, when he asked Jewish bankers to fund the military expedition into Spain to help Franco, and at the last minute, the bankers pulled their funding, despite Hitler going anyway to practically perfect what became known as "blitzkrieg," or "lightning war." However, before 1936, Hitler had restricted many liberties and freedoms of the German people, including the right to keep and bear arms. He had also taken over the German press, and was dictating German religion. It was in this context that he began using eugenics to oppress the Jewish people, the Slavs, as well as anyone handicapped or homosexual. Before the "Night of Broken Glass" in 1938, Hitler had basically succeeded in kicking out the Jews from all manner of jobs, such as teaching in schools, banking, mercantilism (merchants), and civic jobs such as engineering and other infrastructure jobs. When Kristallnacht happened in 1938, and millions of Jewish businesses were damaged and destroyed, it was after this that the Jews were rounded up and put in the Polish ghettoes in Warsaw, in Poland, after Germany began World War II on 9 September 1939. The invasion of Poland was completed in less than a month. From that point on, the Jews were herded into the ghettoes first. And then, as Schindler's List shows, the ghettoes were liquidated and the Jews sent to Auschwitz and other concentration camps such as Dachau, all in the pursuit of what Hitler and other called "The Final Solution," which was a rhetorical answer to what had been termed "The Jewish Question." I give all this history for one very important reason: Those who suffered this atrocity in history should never have their story forgotten. We must be able to learn this history so that we do not repeat it, and can recognize it for what it is. In this way, we can prevent the mistakes of the past. And keep in mind, it isn't just the survivors of the Holocaust we need to remember; it is the men who freed the prisoners in 1945. Many people did not know that the Holocaust was happening. In fact, many have said that the Holocaust was considered a state secret back then. Which is why people were utterly shocked and appalled at what came out when the camps were discovered at the end of the war, and the inhumane and abhorrent treatment of the Jews became known at the trials of Nuremberg from 20 November 1945 to 1 October 1946. It is for this reason, like the cross erected at Ypres, Belgium, says after the Christmas Truce ended in World War I, that we must remember history and it's lessons, especially if those lessons are from the darkest eras of history: Lest we forget. The Jewish people then have added, "Never again." May we never forget, so that this genocide never happens again.

Visited 2 of the camps auschwitz & Ravensbrück the entire time never so a single bird the camps have a very negative feeling on you Ravensbrück struck me quite hard because my wife is polish and a lot of polish females where sent there and murdered and even tested on primarily females the guards who stood trial some came from that camp and they got the death penalty for crimes against humanity

The final solution Sabaton excellent song. This is the animated song. If you want to see something more harsh more obsolete, try Schindler's List the final solution by Sabaton that way you get more of a glimpse would actually went on instead of the actual animated real of the final solution!
