For those who don't know Speed, Speed is a Japanese girl group that debuted in 1995.They are from the Actors School in Okinawa, which produced Namie Amuro, and all four of them are from Okinawa.They are strongly influenced by American girl group tlc.At the time, they were 11-14 years old and very young, but were known for their excellent singing and dancing skills.

I would say that Japan is good at creating blueprints but is not good at innovating the and tends to keep them in their purest form. It has pros (lucrative market that still buys music) and cons (lack of innovation). Whereas Korea is good at taking things that already exist and is able to implement at a high level of skills. (Ex: technology, K-pop which mixes Jpop and western pop). It has pros (practical approach) and cons (will always be seen as high level implementers and not innovators)
Finally people fond out that new jeans concept was not original just retro🙄

To be honest, music and choreography are completely different. Only clothes and stadium background are similar. And this type of music, those clothes, stadium background were first used by americans, and the background is not copyrighted. And speed had wavy perm hair and newjeans had longer straight hair.
