architect / 3d artist here been tinkering and working in 3d for about 10 years now. been following your work for a while now and i gotta say major kudos to you sir, keep up the good work. Even if people talk crap and say you re only assembling assets and not creating them, to those people i i say true but level design is a form of art on its own and you sir are a true artist. Keep it up.

1. Download Unreal Engine 4 2. Download Blender and spend hours to create a single leaf 3. ... 4. Create a world

@hossein ogbbaii the unreal engine marketplace my boy, you can find a bunch of environmental and forest assets for free.
@andrewe1654 жыл бұрын
hossein ogbbaii definitely upgrade your wifi or something when you can cause that’s bad especially for downloading assets
@GhOsTWOLF2174 жыл бұрын
@hossein ogbbaii Im looking at 40 free downloaded projects I have. Unreal engine has variation of projects with grass and other assets. U gotta do the research. U dont even have to download epic launcher to just look at their marketplace. Go on Google and look that way and see. Then upgrade your internet when you can.
@chindanaipornsing90334 жыл бұрын
hossein ogbbaii I’d recommend downloading Quixel Bridge and downloading Megascan assets from there. They’ve got a huge library filled with everything you could ever want except for trees. Just install the plugin to export to unreal and you’re set. It’s completely free too.

Coming from a guy who lives in the redwoods i can say this is extremely close to the real thing. The only things not 100% are the canopy of the trees, and the fog. Its a lot darker walking through because the trees are tall and close together, and the fog is a bit whiter, but damn this is cool good work dude.

unreal engine got some neat asset packs and the content created for UE is mostly centered around realism so I'd say it's definetely easier to get starting doing realism stuff and realistic rendering in UE4. There is just more out of the box that you can use.

1) Create a new material 2) Add LandscapeTextureCoords node 3) Add all the material maps you want 4) Connect the dots 5) Add the Material to your landscape and start painting.
@sergeantrazer7 жыл бұрын
Vanic what's up with LandcapeLayerBlend? Cause that's where you are connecting the dots (with your texture and normal maps)

Layer blend is just a mask so you can have smooth transitions from one texture to another or paint on texture on top of another.
