Great video as always! Definitely adding to the temptation to pull out my old minis. Also, another tip for anyone looking to do halved or quartered schemes: rotate the model so you're painting down *towards* you. That makes it easier to keep the line straight.

You definitely should get those old minis out, now is the time for them to shine! Get some base adapters/movement trays and bring back those glory days! Great tip there as well for keeping a steady hand, I can vouch for this and anything making painting these schemes easier is welcome! 😀

Haha that's fair though, the knights are the best part! Are you doing all individual heraldry or a unified scheme?

@@TheHobbyGrotto tbh, I dont like the new lore for TOW (green being allowed, female knights being common sight and mostly having all knights wearing the same heraldry of their dukedom) so yeah, each one is going to have its own heraldry, with the unit leaders having the colors of the dukedom (in my case, Carcassonne) lol

I already had a bunch painted in different heraldry from before the new release so I'm just sticking with that! It's also more fun to paint them all individual I reckon. I like the lore idea of every knight having their own lands etc, being their own unique lord 😊

@@TheHobbyGrotto Honestly, that's the best way to do it, in my opinion. Back in my Bretonnia-collecting days, I'd also paint each squad of peasants with different heraldry - with each squad matching one of my knights - as if that knight had brought their land's levy.

it's called a mantle. Unless it is attached to a hood then the whole thing is just a hood.

It does have a hood attached to it at the back, but I painted that dark brown like the robes.
