That’s a nice video series. I’ve never used the liquid mask, but this came to mind: 1) paint the whole mini in orange; 2) add a varnish step; 3) paint on the liquid mask; 4) spray the metal trim; 5) remove liquid mask. maybe it would be less time consuming and easier

I’m going to be going down the route they’ve taken on the Knight Abominant on the GW store. No plasma unfortunately but that’s for a reason. I’m putting lights in the diorama when it’s finished so I’m hesitant to paint a light effect when it’s going to be next to a real light source. All to be explained in videos to come :)

I lucked out that the contrast paint I am depending on the most right now is magdroth flame. Seeing it used in excruciating detail on large flat surfaces is insanely helpful to my specific needs

@@LizardofDoom i primed the armor using your video. I am going to mimic the vibrant colors seen in the War Hammer total war representations. I am also going to use some of Squidmars ideas from the don't paint like GW video so my Armigers and Questoris look cohesive and individual. I'm using the colors I have mixing them to mimic the way Marco Frison does in his How to paint wumspat video. I am limiting myself to using the paints I have on hand. A Vallejo fantasy color pack and scale 75 golden series. And some Tamiya clears. I primed the knight chassis brown to put a bright rust oxide affect on it. I hope it works. I'm brand new to this but I'm having fun. Thank you for asking. Your question revealed my plan to me. In text it looks like it will work and boosts my confidence.

This is the one I used: amzn.eu/d/9UDjGfL If you’re having a go 2 more tips are: 1. use your finger nail or something with a dull edge to really push it in to the crevices 2. it does lose stick over time so don’t wait around too long Happy painting hope you enjoy! 🙂
