That's the moon on the left. during a full moon the moon and sun are oposite from each other

+The Art of Aaron Blaise This is true, but the moon only turns red with certain conditions; that's not on a monthly cycle like a full moon is. There is a Harvest Moon which can appear orange in color due to atmospheric interference and the proximity of the moon to Earth. Also, there is a Lunar Eclipse that causes the moon to be red and orange due to the rays of the sun glancing around the Earth and it's atmosphere interacting with the rays of light from around the edges. So a generic full moon isn't what you've depicted but more accurately a Lunar Eclipse or a Harvest Moon. Sorry to be so technical, but it confused me the same with the lighting, until I looked at it as the moon and then looked up the causes for the moon's coloration differences. That technicality aside, it's a wonderful image all the same. I'm glad I stumbled across your channel.
