Catching up on my videos from this week and this is exactly what I did today! Weeded and edged my back garden bed then got all remaining overwintered plants into the ground. Feels good to have gotten that done!

I took the day off from gardening and since it was our 52nd wedding anniversary and live in Indiana we took a short road trip to experience the solar eclipse in totality and it was spectacular! "The heavens declare the glory of God;the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Proverbs 19:1

I was doing the same thing Jenny...working in my garden! My daughter-in -law asked what I was doing and if I was going to watch the eclipse. I told her I was going to experience it in my garden. Here in Missouri it got quite dark and the frogs and crickets started singing. It was actually very pleasant.

Well, I finally got to make a trip to Creekside Nursery! Just a bit over two hours from my place near Anderson. And so worth the drive. Got to meet Jenny!!! Wow, she is this petite little thing and is even prettier in person than on the videos. And just full of bubbly fun and joy. She made me feel like an old friend. Went there this morning to see the Power Planter Demo. I had a new drill but was not sure what size auger bit I needed. The Demo was fantastic and Greg (the owner of Power Planter) helped me choose the correct size for my drill and what I needed to plant. The place is beautiful. The Signature Garden is even more fantastic in person.

Good morning Jenny! Just a thought… an espalier tree/vine would look so great against that big white wall where the irises are 😃…. Like those lattice vines I see everyone training on walls. That would still give you walking room but dress up the wall of the building.

How would you space them in the landscape? If I pot some, how many in a 12 inch pot? Thanks for all the help and inspiration…though my wallet isn’t so happy. Happy Gardening everyone!

I did the same thing during the eclipse. I planted, dug up, split up, and transplanted plants. I took advantage of the cool and shaded weather in my garden, because it’s normally full sun. I saw the total eclipse that ran across GA a few years ago so it wasnt a big deal to me. My plants were more important 😂.

Well, I have bought plants and never got them in the ground. Guess what? They died. Plants are too expensive now and I guess I've become more determined never to let a plant die from my neglect again. So when I buy plants I have an idea where I'll put them and I plant them the day I buy them or the next day. Jenny, you have the facility and know how to keep plants alive without planting them. I don't, so I now plant.
