I did this test to show that regardless of where you set the water level control if it’s a heavy load, the washer will adjust the amount of water so that it could agitate and wash your clothes properly so it’s kind of a no-brainer for people who don’t know exactly what a load size is.

The Auto Fill feature is very nice! I like that! This load was circulating and rolling over really well! 😊

I don't know how I missed this Pete, but I only just saw this now. It must calculate a certain drag on the motor ? It definitely needs buoyancy to operate correctly. Another great thing is it will never underfill in your machine whereas Whirlpool makes it a point to underfill

Love ur video's.. i purchased my TR7 about a year ago and there nothing that is hasn't be able to clean.. king size blanket with the bed cover and the sheets not once did it not clean it perfectly.. i work as a disel mechanic and when i do the brakes on a truck I'm covered in brake dust with wheel bearing grease and never once have my clothes not came out super clean.. its a totally different way of cleaning it doesn't turn over alot but it really focuses on cleaning the clothes in one spot and slowly rotates them.. i can tell you one thing this washer machine is a BAD ASS.. ohh dog beds or cat beds this machine YAAAWNS at them.. I've use other machines and with dog/cat bed it will take 1hr30min to wash with it always shutting down during the spin!! SQ-FTW

I never realized it would let you add too much water manually. but will not allow you to add too little water manually. Smart. I like my TR7.

Your TR7 works in mysterious ways. Hey, when you communicate with your washer unexpected things can happen. It gave you a full tub of water even though you selected a small load size option. People need to experiment with their washers. You'll never know what "surprises" your washer may give you

Your comment is exactly why I came to love & depend on my He washers for the last 16 years through various ownership. Since the introduction of electronic control boards regulating washer water volume/temps, experimentation is the best way to get any value out of them. My favorite types of experiments are with detergent additives. Although, I will admit this 3.2 cu ft capacity TR7 has me blown away by how it handles heavy loads easily.

you just selected my saved favorite cycle :) I do use the auto-fill... but this is great to know you dont have to use auto.. incidentilly the auto-fill always seems to start at the small level.. then will do the load test.. depending on whether it detects a lead sled in the tub or just some slippage it will go then to medium level and try again...if it detects a lead sled again it will go seemingly about halfway between medium and large if it isnt a lead sled it will continue to run the load test "agitate" and add water at the same time till it gets to where it feels like there is movement but not a complete float.. it always does the load test again after a lid open.. and it may add a little water.. or if you really do put several more towels in it will add quite a bit more water.. .. love your videos..!!! this machine doesnt operate on the principal of turnover it operates on the clothes running against each other... you dont need to turn things over 16 times to clean them.. even once is enough as each item has a chance at the agitator, the tub and other clothes... despite the fact it doesnt act like a regular machine.. it cleans nicely.. ive run 12 bath size towel in mine and it ran like a champ! still spun at full 800 RPM final...

Thanks so much for your comments it’s nice to get feedback from someone who is looking at the full picture and not just out to make derogatory comments and not understand the workings of this machine. No matter how many times I explain how this machine operates. There are always those that are the naysayers because they’re not used to the non-traditional form of washing. Decades ago, there was so much resistance to front loaders here in the US. It took them quite a while for them to get a market for themselves, because people didn’t understand that you could wash clothes by tumbling them. The same holds true for this machine. I don’t have any problems at all with its washing ability ..

@@petermaz701 I think on social media which youtube is a form of.. you have a lot of followers.. when the TR series washers first came out in 2018 ..admittedly the wash action was lackluster.. the whole cycle was more or less like the load-test phase and the clothes just floated.. SQ fixed that issue and made the wash action more aggressive for 2019.. your brand new TR7 has identical operation to my 2019.. good for me as i know I dont need a firmware or board update to stay current.. but anyway you had one prominent channel that ripped apart SQ over the original TR.. to the point they yanked his dealership.. he has a lot of followers and admirers.. im one of them as the guy really is a brilliant appliance tech as well as having a nice collection f vintage washers he regularly post videos of.. but nevertheless he has a bad attitude toward SQ.. you can tell whenever he puts on a video of a TR.. the load put in it is something no washer except maybe a unimatic would have a chance of making perfect.. the unimatic could beat the dirt out of about anything.. but alot of people have never even used a TR and they smash it on YT... or if theyve used one its once and they never took the time to learn how to properly load it and set it...

@@petermaz701 I worked for frigidaire in the 90s.. I got to watch them develop the return of the front loader to the US.. the frigidaire gallery front loader.. a small tub unit that came out about the same time as the maytag neptune.. us employees got offered a 50% off deal on the front loaders so a bunch of us got them.. that was a great washing machine except it ate tub bearings.. it never suffered the extreme vibration or horrible odor issues that the LG I bought to replace it (after it ate a 4th set of tub bearings in 12 years).. the LG had horrid odors no matter how much I left it open, cleaned the seals, etc.. not to mention it shook the whole house (my washer is on the first floor and not in the basement).... i endured that machine for 12 years before getting the TR.... that first frigi machine was later sold under the GE brand for awhile before they retired it.. but that and neptune were the start of bringing front loads back to the US.. and arguably loads better than the old Bendix machines

@@eldoradoboy agreed, and I know who you’re talking about Lorraine furniture, I’m also a subscriber I think Kirk Rivas is more reasonable. Lol I don’t think a Unimatic can get some of the things he put in there clean. I think you need to have a ringer washer that you put the clothes in in the morning and then before you go to bed you rinse them out, it could wash all day long. Just saying!

Yes, absolutely it's a much more versatile machine. If something is heavily soiled, you can get it cleaned by choosing a longer wash. If you have something lightly soiled, it's wonderful for that. There's much more versatility in this machine. The TR 7 👍🏻

Hi there hope you're all doing well. Yes, I still kept the TR 7 I won't get rid of it. Works great. Although I did add a Miele washer and dryer pair so I could have a front loader and my speed queen top loader. There is enough room in my laundry room for a set of each, so I'm happy with that and I have the options.

How are you bypassing the lid lock? Please
@petermaz701
@petermaz701 7 ай бұрын
The lid lock is easy there are some videos I have when it goes to lock you just use a pen cap and click it but you first need to bypass the open lid switch which is in the back of the machine. If you Google it there are many many KZbin videos on it, you use it some people use a close pin I put a piece of size Styrofoam in there.

Peter, compared to front loaders, how does the Speed Queen washer do with water removal during the final high speed spins cycle?
@petermaz701
@petermaz701 9 ай бұрын
Well, I think it does well for a Toploader. You really can’t compare top loaders to front loaders with spin speed. On the heavy duty cycle, it spins at 820 I think so the clothes come out well spun.
@eldoradoboy

ive had a couple front loaders and now my TR7 for 4 years.. id say my LG "blue" front loader that had a 1400 RPM spin did a little better job of spinning out the water.. and a LOT better job at shaking my house like a 6.7!.. the TR7 does amazingly well in that department.. even my comforter feels well wrung out coming off the final fast spin.. now I got a new dryer along with my TR7 but my drying times are not any longer with the speed queen set than they were wit hthe LG dryer.. the exception being my queen size comforter cant tumble as well in the slightly smaller dryer drum compared to the LG
