A horse can carry 20% of his weight MAX. This horse looks maxed out! Tennessee Walkers average 15'2 hands and average 1000 pounds. What do you guess it the total weight on this horse's back?

I'd even say rather 15% max

Btw, my first horse was a Tennessee Walker. I was 9 years old. He was a green broke 2 year old. We learned together. His pacing & stride was perfect. Never used a saddle or bridle.

Beautiful stepping. When a horse lathers that much it's from straining or being pushed.

Maybe don’t pace your horses on hard roads. It can be really bad for their joints. If you’re going to go any faster than a trot then please do that on soft ground like grass.

He more of a pacing stud. Than racking. You should always let your horse rack for a couple of months until it reaches its limit. Then you could get more speed out of pacing. Just for instance i have a standardbred stallion for sale for 7000 he racks twenty. I have never paced him. Ive tried once but he just kept racking. It wasnt smoove as before. But its definitely in him to pace. His mom and dad were off the track. He racks good as they can pace. They really cant rack as good as he does. Because they are off the track where they were taught to pace.
