I live in Tulsa, we have our tornado sirens go off every Wednesday at noon for testing. You really just get used to it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I honestly don’t even hear them anymore

The emergency siren tests are so interesting to hear about. I live in Arizona and have never heard of different places having emergency siren tests. We certainly don't have them in the several places I've lived in Arizona. We do get a few types of bad weather phenomena, like wildfires, flooding from monsoons, the VERY occasional small tornado, and heavy snow in the northern and higher elevation parts of the state. But we don't have any siren warning system for things like that, so it's super interesting to hear about that in other parts of the country. 😊

I'm so happy you mentioned the Essence lipgloss because I've been raving about that formula for years! I'm similar to your skin tone, and I've recently picked up the shade 09 Shadow Rose and paired it with NYX lipliner in Mauve (filling in the outer layer of my lips) and OMG, it's beautiful!! Okay so for the Tornado Siren thing...I live in South Carolina and at USC our mascot is the Gamecocks (fighting rooster) and so every friday at 11:45 our emergency siren goes off and its a rooster crowing. Both hilarious and terrifying

Try the Moira cosmetics liquid brown liner - it’s a double sided one with felt tip and pencil (love their products) and it stays put for me and is a true brown! It’s difficult to find one bc they are either too dark or too red! Also sometimes I use my Nyx brow pen as a brown liquid liner too .. thank me later ❤

Another KZbinr was saying that Melt powder can actually be used as a highlighter for the cheekbones ...it's way too much glow to be a setting powder....but now that u like it and we both have more dry skin I may try it because either way I will be able to use it in one way or another

Fellow Hoosier here 👋🏼, we currently live in a little subdivision out in the country of a small rural town, and I don't believe they have a tornado siren test. However, growing up, I lived in a different little rural town, and they did a tornado test once a month on the first Saturday at 1pm. Crazy how different things are in the same state!!

Never had any “emergency” sirens, both in NJ or FL, but i remember in my hometown the fire station alarm was so loud you could here it throughout the entire valley. It was an older station so the alarm wasn’t an alert for other people, just went off every time there was a call. They also used to use it when we had really bad storms to let people know when the roads were cleared!

Personally I think SPF in a cheek product is great. Your cheeks tend to get more exposure to sun, so having that little extra is just nice. As long as you’re using SPF properly on your entire face i don’t see any issues

Our tornado sirens here in OKC go off at noon every Saturday (unless there is sketchy weather at that time). I grew up in Kentucky and that didn’t happen there.

Chattanooga has a weekly tornado test. Barely notice it. Back in Jackson, CA there was a noon lunch whistle that was a notice the miners would be popping up for a meal break. That was cool.

I live in downstate New York and we have quarterly Nuclear Emergency siren tests. They have been going on for years (Wednesdays at 10:30am). The Indian Point nuclear plant is being decommissioned so I heard they will be discontinuing the siren tests soon.

Growing up in Central OH I remember the warning test siren was at noon on Wednesdays. Been outside Seattle for 12 years now and no sirens. One time I was at work and my county actually had a tornado (super rare) and I discovered that not only did a lot of my coworkers have no clue what to do, they didn't know the difference between a "watch" and a "warning". I have heard sirens on the WA coast and I think they're for dangerous conditions like fog\wind\the beach is dangerous. I believe there's also a tsunami siren. 🦃🦃🦃

We definitely have tornado emergency tests here in Missouri. . Ours happens the first week of the month. Its either Monday or Tuesday. But just once a month. 🦃 it's funny because I got that Bliss sunscreen quite a while ago when I was on the hunt for something new (since you put me onto the Paula's Choice one but I hated having to order it 😅) and I returned it after 3 days haha. My daughter’s town in Alabama does tornado siren testing every Tuesday at noon. Scared me to pieces the first time I was there alone with my grandson. I live in Tennessee and they may test here couple times a year.

Yes, we have a tornado siren test once a month. Every morning at 9 am. We have one close and it's very loud. It's a good sign when it needs to go off, but man, if you sleep late, it will make you jump. I sleep late, so it always wakes me up every time. I grunt but happy it's so close if it's a true warning we can hear it over the TV. Had a couple of close ones to were it was as a definite warning. We had one hit only 4 miles away. We got high winds for a short time but not high enough to do any serious damage. Just high winds that snapped small branches. Another one hit about 8 miles away. It hit my brothers house dead on. My brothers tree fell on his back deck. one across the back fence and branches and alot of other debri. It was a mess. So thankful they were in the basement safe. We don't have one so if we can we will drive the 3 miles and get in my dad's basement. Fingers crossed we won't ever have to. We live in Illinois

Ok chocolate brown liner!!! I stand by using liquid brow pens as liquid liner, specifically the NYX lift and snatch pen one. I use the shade caramel because I’m very pale with light hair, but they probably have a chocolate one! Love your videos, thank you for all of the joy you’ve brought!

In SoCal, we used to have a monthly test of the sirens for a radioactive leak or other issue from the nuclear generator down the road. Thanks goodness it closed about 10+ years ago, so we don’t have it anymore. It used to creep me out a little…so no warning sirens here anymore. Too bad you can’t be warned about an earthquake 😮

I commented on the last video about the siren! In PA we have none. I think it's because we truly have no "natural disasters here" no hurricanes, tornadoes, wild fires, earthquakes, we don't get ridiculous hot weather, might get like a foot of snow but that's it. Truly an ideal place to live if you don't want any of that stuff haha
