Got a Biceps Slap surgery and tendon was cut and fastened next to supraspinatus tendon but after 2,5 weeks it ane loose and its now in the bicipital groove. I was told it will heal there and going to be strong again. Have you any experiences with this ?

Why this test name as speed test??
@jmac3112

They're normally named after who made them/popularised them. Also tests often have several names, which is very annoying at times

gonzagnr2 biceps. Look at O’Brien’s test for a more labrum oriented test.
@Physiotutors
@Physiotutors 4 жыл бұрын
Biceps and superior labrum are connected, so tests cannot isolate either structure

what if elbow flexed and stabilized and then give resistance against contraction?

This way you rather stress the distal biceps tendon and not the proximal tendon.

@olivegoddess1
@olivegoddess1 4 жыл бұрын
It depends on what they're wearing. If they have a tank top on, then yes, they can leave their shirt on. But it also depends on if you're assessing something else. You have to be able to palpate and see what you're palpating. That's hard to do with clothing in the way. If they need to, they can always wear a gown with their shoulder out of the arm hole.

Why is 78% specificity considered low clinical value? I watched this in the library with captions so I'm sorry if I missed something.
@Physiotutors
@Physiotutors 6 жыл бұрын
78% specificity is not too bad, but you always gotta look at how this translates into a likelihood ratio and either increases or decreases your post-test probability. In this test, you'd end up with LR+ of 0,9 and LR- of 1.1 which is basically useless to in- or exclude.
