i experimented with iso holds and short max iso pushes in a split position (one thigh extends the other flexes in a long position like in sprinting). I noticed a clear improvement in upright sprinting speed! No doubt! I think it'S no magic. It's just a very effective method to recrute most muscle fibres. The combination with fast plyometric movements (sprinting, jumping) is what probably works best.

You can see the look of disappointment on Coach Holler's face when Alex said he likes to do tempo work 😂

What do you recommend for nutrition along with a FTC-Style training program? Any resources you could share?

I make it simple. EAT LIKE A MAN. Grown men don’t eat Pop Tarts for breakfast, they eat eggs, bacon, toast, etc. Real food. They don’t eat nachos for lunch, snack on Skittles, then go to McDonald’s for dinner. Don’t eat processed foods out of a box or bag. Meat, potatoes, rice, veggies, fruits, milk, etc. Can’t be perfect but we can try.

Are there any plans to upload these podcasts to Spotify/apple podcasts in the future?

My digital content manager (my son Troy) and I were talking about this at breakfast last Friday. We are heading in that direction. I would like to do high quality in-person podcasts in the future. I want to be the Joe Rogan of whatever this niche is. 😊

😄 I was trying to figure out what it was! Absolutely loved the interview Tony. I wish I could get another one of those yellow Freelap t shirts they gave out at the FTC in 2019. Loved that shirt.

What is your opinion on head position when sprinting? Some people look like they are jutting their head forward while sprinting

What would Cal say about his comment eccentrics are not a great way to put on muscle?

In my experience, when “experts” seem diametrically opposed, we just need to dive deeper.

I’m not an expert at anything. Just a guy that took a role on and wants to do the best he can do. I have been doing this a long time now and I would say I have experienced the exact opposite. This past offseason we added 1 rep of Supra max eccentrics and I couldn’t believe the results I got.
