i use the isomax bar with a clench fitness footplate, a 600lb carabiner and double circle numbered ring bands on amazon. i love the results you get from this and the quick transition between holds and data feedback. for the bench press i orient my base plate width wise to my shoulders, i place a 4" thick block of closed cell foam (almost identical in size to my baseplate) for comfort on top of the plate. i run the strap under the plate, lay my back on the foam and attach strap to the isomax bar. this has worked extremely well for me.

Beautiful set up there Ralph, well done! I'm going to have to try that foam pad set up myself

Thanks for this. I have to same footplate and straps, going to try this. Do you find those straps give you that same recoil as the isomax strap or isochain spring? I've been using the Worldfit iso-strap and iso-loops, but not sure if it has that same amount of give.

The main problem is the cost. Humans have been able to gain strength without exact quantification for thousands of years. I think I'm good.

True, yet we still buy smart watches and protien for $60 a container. We may be doomed as a species but we're going to play with some really cool toys before that happens.

True, we spend on all sorts of stuff like gym membership and things we don't even need. This one purchase gives plenty of benefits and will be with you for quite some time. A very worthy investment.

It's only costly if you don't have the mula. Seems like a good deal to me.

Thanks for the info. The majority of my training these days is Overcoming Isometrics. I bought the World Fit Iso Straps after the review you did on them and I love them. With the Straps, I can stand on them, hang them from a door or overhead attach point. I can even put them under a door or floor attachment which opens up different exercises. For instance, I don't like Triceps Kickbacks with Dumbbells. Just feels awkward and I can't connect with it but with the Straps under the door I can really feel the stimulation performing the same motion. It seems to me, with the IsoMax, you could also take advantage of the Strap that comes with it, and get creative. In a way, it might similar to Dumbbell vs Barbell as far as exercise selection goes. This might be something I invest in the future depending on the length of the Strap. Thanks again!

Really like what they done with the Iso chain as the Iso Max is an improvement indeed especially where it makes it more portable. Also, would like to make mention of recommended free standing pull up stations

Damn you do good vidoes man. Keep it up. Keen to hear an update on how isometrics have affected your strength, size and neuronal connections... and whatever other benefit you've noticed (assuming you haven't already done it!). Just bought and read Overcoming Isometrics last night... great work.

Hi Matt - thanks for the review. Do you know if the strap is polyester or nylon? (I'm in the UK so sadly have to replicate my own version for now. I've been using a poly strap with a spring for a while, but wondered what the IsoMax strap is made of - something with more give to it?)

Hey Matt, but since I incorporate isometrics with my dynamic movements my elbows have been feeling better. I love isometrics. Is there a reason for this?

@@mreverybody1150 I love that you only do isometrics. I’m mid 40s and I think I mildly injured a bicep tendon “easing” my way into weight lifting with bands. I was feeling so discouraged and concerned I was going to damage other tendons too (it’s not the first one). Thought I was being sooo careful too. :/ Anyway, someone on YT kindly explained the IsoMax to me and how it’s just as effective as lifting heavy. The fact that it’s even safer than bands has me sold. I currently have the Harambe System, and it’s great, but I think I’ll be getting the IsoMax very soon-hopefully I can use my Harambe T platform with the IsoMax strap.

Dang! If I’d only waited another couple of years 😢. I went through a couple IsoChain bars due to early glitches, which DragonDoor was super great about helping out. But this….this might have just hit the sweet spot. Not only lighter, quieter, more easily and accurately adjustable, but that platform sings to me! I can already see variations not possible with the old metal platform. Damn you, Matt! I’m going shopping now!

@@nickeyboi You can buy the strap for $30 and get a platform for a resistance band or maybe DragonDoor will sell it alone. Ive been using the same Vulken Strap for ages.

The preorder is 449 USD, but it will probably go up. The Isometric manual is only 10 bucks, and the exercises are 90% as good if you also do other strength training methods.

I prefer the old Isochain with the removable battery. But although expensive, I see it as an investment. I don't need to pay any gym fees and I can do all traditional lifts in half the time, with less risk of injury, using up less space and I get stronger tendons, a bullet proofed body and joints and I can do progressive overload correctly. Some are selling used Isochains and building their own one from straps, wood and lat pulldown bars.
