I just took up golf about a year ago. I was hitting the driver, maybe 180 yards, at the beginning. Never had lessons. Just youtube and my phone camera. Then I see these long drive videos, and it all I want to do. Took forever to break out of that 125-130 ball speed. Once I did, it was like a lightning strike. Hit 150s. Had to retune a bit 160s... Now stuck in the 170 range. 178 being my high. Time to break the 180s. Thanks for the inspiration.

Drive with the lower body and swing and extend after impact. Speed is created after impact, by delaying the release of right hand at impact. Pre-set lower body laterally and rotationally, with hands pressed away from target and start backswing by pushing right heel into ground and shift left ankle towards target, to start forwardswing. Effortless power!!
