Hi there, I bought a China android headunit. This headunit couldn’t even allow me to log in to google account. I have tried downloading google service framework apk, but it didn’t work either. Is there any solution? Thanks

Does this work for Atoto A6 pro unit? It's Android 6.. would I be able to upgrade it to Android 10?

Hi new to all this tbh I've got a cheap HUD from Amazon it's a canecho with a 7" display. I am happy with it apart from it's slow at loading anything up. I intend on installing cpz on it see what is actually in there. Anyways can you overclock the CPU on Androids or add more ram if it's low? Tia

Hi.. thanks a lot for the video. How do you power up the device outside the car? What power adapter do you use? I’d like to follow your steps at home (it’s getting cold outside in Denmark) Thanks in advance :)

Great video thanks for the useful information..i have a question about installing 4G lte Dongle or maybe a 4G module but im not sure what should work best on these units..theu are wifi and 4G capable but unfortunately mine doesnt come with the sim card slot in it so i basically have to either use a dongle which i cant seem to find one that is reliable for my line of work [ Uber] i need something more sustainable and provides good service.

Tip: Use the official viper4android software, as it doesn't have any ads ☺
@Neuron436 жыл бұрын
Can you confirm this? The ads are a big turn off for me as I am so sick of them and having them on my head unit is not acceptable. It seems impractical to root the device in order to give you more control and be harassed with ads in the process.

So what do I do if it is some chinese made thing that was rebranded 7 times before I got my hands on it locally? I bought this HU as a Paramount AC8227L. Google just shrugs. It is a unit for a Ford Ranger 2014 T6 with new center colsole and everything and runs Android 6. (*puke*) Bluetooth does not pick up my odb2 device. Bluetooth is actually severely crippled on this build. I'm hoping rooting it will help me solve this problem. Android runs on some highly hacked version of ubuntu. But even the su command does not work. I bought torque pro before I even managed to pair the bt odb2 adapter. Haha. How Do I identify what to look for on XDA?

A great intro to Android rooting. I am very new to this OS and have just purchased a generic Chinese head unit (Android 10) for my 8 year old Audi A6 as the MMI is no longer supported by Audi and I need to get some functionality back. So far all is good from a non technical stand point as I have been able to load applications but the front end needs a tidy up. It reports as Android-Trunk-p0.825X_pro and Build "full-825x_Pro-Octa 10 PPR1.180610.011 eng.root.20200426.093427 userdebug" ... If I understand correctly this is already rooted ? I guess the Root tool you showed would tell me that? Also cant find any reference to 825X_pro on the internet. Any guidance welcome.

Gday mate, I have the exact unit in this video...it’s my first android...I’m having huge issues with it. Tpms doesn’t work at all, Bluetooth connection for iPhone & music playback is utter shit (jittery)...also having issues with obd Bluetooth connection... dab+ doesn’t get any channels, neither does dvb-t tv...equaliser is crap, with no subwoofer control. I have bought all extras for the unit except the DVD player. Any help would be great. You sound like you know your stuff. How do I check firmware version?
@boostedmedia6 жыл бұрын
You can check the firmware versions n via the settings/about screen. Honestly though it sounds like you have a defective unit. I didn’t have any of those problems when my unit was stock. If get it replaced before messing with it.

Thanks for your video! I am considering buying an android 6 unit, with hopes of change the OS to android 8. Can that be done to any android unit in general? Mine would be a Chinese brand.
@boostedmedia6 жыл бұрын
Impossible to say with any certainty. Generally Chinese brands aren’t great at releasing updates so I’d bet against being able to upgrade easily.

I appreciate if you could help or instruct me how to change this crazy situaation. Note. 10inch HeadUnit is 2013 model and info written on the screen as hexin_bmw320li-201604281655 All the best Serkan

hey, i have 4 core ownice C500, i have been trying to root. using the @#zxc....890,. line worked, but then when trying to run su i got "not executable: 64-bit ELF file". so I understood that my machine is 32 bit (obviously) and the su file is no good for me. I found on page 12 of the xda forum a post by stimpz0r who's talking of the problem i have, i also replaced the su file with the one he put under armv7 but all this isn't helping, i keep getting the same message "not executable: 64-bit ELF file". I tried System->General->Erase all content to reset the unit and let me try rooting again and i keep getting the same message. I would be grateful for your help Thanks!

Sorry. I’m honestly not sure how to resolve that. Best to hope for a solution on XDA.

Rooting doesn't refer to any kind of file; it simply refers to the root user being accessible. But what is the root user? The most privileged user in the Linux kernel, which Android, amongst a world of other things (including your routers!) use. The reason Google does not allow this access by default is in order to protect against potential malicious code and applications, the concerns of which are largely nulled by the use of SuperSU or a similar superuser access manager. And you're already "fully rooted" as soon as the SU binary is installed; SuperSU just makes access to this binary (and its associated privileges) controllable. Busybox isn't required, but it adds a whole slew of utilities that a lot of root-using programs use and depend on, so installing this is never a bad idea, and is probably the most common thing you will find on rooted devices besides the binary and manager themselves. If you don't want the abovementioned Viper stuff, or if that doesn't interest you, then there are also a whole bunch of other things this can be used for, such as for things like modifying the deeper ends of the system such as the build.prop, which can help with certain screens being too "tight", at the possible cost of some text clarity, or perhaps digging into the /sys structure to change some other odds and ends.
