hi, you can spam the mechanical points very easy,best done at a garage where you can purchase tool kits,just drive your truck into the wall no need to go fast,reverse back get out fix the radiator and engine for 425xp then just rinse and repeat until your points are maxed, it took me a few hrs to fully complete it this way

Kind of the same way I did it, except different locations. I do like the idea of doing it where you can just purchase toolkits, instead of running back and forth or loading a bunch in your inventory.

park the truck with the back wheels half in to the parkingspot, and it wont cost you parts, they stay in your inventory 🙂

Personally, I think they should make it 1 mile = 1 xp for trucking or at least for the long hauls

I agree! That would be ideal. I like doing the long hauls, just not the lack of xp for those jobs.

@@ancienthare same here, but I need those other licenses! :p but thanks for pointing out that the short jobs are good for xp I didn’t even notice this. Might grind out some short ones for a while.

@@redanglerfish that’s been my thing too. Trying to unlock those different licenses. I was doing pretty much all long hauls, until I took a closer look one day. Makes no sense

This afternoon was okay I managed the Ice road's okay but then took job to ice pick, got over confident and jack knifed. Had to call assistant to put me back on the road. Lost all container then cancelled order losing my a ⭐ my own fault will be back on tomorrow.

@@ancienthare another thing i struggle with that probobly others also do is coolant temperatur managment during winter. cant get my head around it. The symbol is yellow or red. And i have the ”thing” on the cooler. But the engin keeps taking damage…. ?? Maby another idea for a video 😁

Also, have you guys found the light post randomly in the middle of the rd that will cause damage if u hit it? It's clearly not supposed to be there, it looks like a clipped graphic, but it will hurt ya.

Yeah, I just hit that the other day! I took screenshots. I just need to check their bug reports on discord and see if it's a known issue. Are you playing on pc or console?

I am largely enjoying Alaskan truckery but I think I am missing something, maybe I am a bit stupid. What is the point of the HQ I am repairing stuff myself anywhere and sometimes in other workshops, also can you employ other drivers at some stage because why would I need another truck I can only drive one at a time. The HQ is always so far away all the time. I am playing though and I have only visited the HQ once to unlock in the first stage of the game.

Once you get your workshop unlocked at your HQ, you can fully repair your truck cheaper than what it costs at the other shops (currently working on a video showing this). I did a video that covers what all your HQ has available for you kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZorQYY2QZaeNmKssi=avfmkD3mT03YEaYM There isn’t an option to hire other drivers yet. Maybe in the future, but it’s not available now.

Do you still get XP for Personality, Trucking & Mechanical by completing jobs or do you only get XP by doing certain things affiliated with those tabs?

XP is just for the task at hand. Job deliveries only give you trucking xp.

I’ve had this game since release on pc. I have yet to attempt the cheat engine to edit the money amount. I like realism in my trucking. But I gotta try it. It’s a huge help with drug dealer simulator. 😂

I just replied to your other comment. I’ve had since pc release too. I was wondering if anyone has tried using a cheat engine yet. I’ll have to learn how to use if it’s a big help in DDS…that’s something I play off camera. Haven’t got very far in DDS2, just not a lot of spare time.

@@ancienthare same. I work over night, and have 4 young kids and a 5th due in October. I push myself past exhaustion so I can get some game time. lol. DDs and dss2 Have a pack of money in your bag. (First scan)-the total money you have. Then. Buy something cheap. (Second scan)-the amount of $ u have after you bought that something. On the list of numbers will bring up a list of 4. Drop those down so u can edit the value. You put as much $ you want then back to game. Close inventory then reopen. You’ll have that amount. Then you’re free to close the cheat engine. Same process for bags of drugs. You have 2 pounds of snow? First scan is 2 remove one of them then second scan is 1. Edit value from the engine. Boom. You’ll have how ever many pounds you put.

@@lttle_ghost3421 with a 5th kid on the way, you beat me in the lack of spare time lol. Kudos to you on that one! I work 7 days a week and my only kid is an adult now. I really like making these videos in what spare time I do have. Thanks for the tips in dds…I’ll definitely have to give it a go!

For the record, you can cook food over and over, but you only get xp once a day.

They just released the update information: @everyone Hi truckers, Today's update addresses feedback from the community, targeting memory issues, crashes and some pop-in. This is live now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Keep on trucking, keep on exploring, keep on sharing your feedback! **General** - Fixed memory spikes occurring in the Truck Dealer that could lead to crashes - Fixed the Truck Dealer selling tab which could not work properly when selected using the bumper buttons (incl. inability to sell trucks) - Fixed the unresponsive HUD distance meter **PS5** - Due to freeing additional memory space, the amount of pop-in in certain areas of the game can now be reduced More updates are due to come soon.
