he did so nice work for cleaning the dust and the old thermal paste and at the end he did a mess.

DO NOT do this like in the video , 1 of all a 2022 laptop's thermal paste will 100% be fine after 1 year - they say "clean up the dried up thermal paste" but all I saw was pretty much normal thermal paste , if it was dried up it would have been waaay harder to clean . 2 they say how much of a difference it made for temps ....... YEAH IT WOULD when the freaking fans were clogged. 3. That thermal paste application (even fo someone who has mostly seen and done 3-4 times ) was hard to watch , it was like watching some kid finger paint , a lot of spots didnt get any , some were way too much and that thermal paste of yours didnt look like it stuck to anything at all . 4 I have dissassembled my Acer Nitro (different chip 95% same construction of body) and on the capacitors and other stuff thats not the CPU and GPU there was a pink "thermal paste" that was like 1-2mm thick. As I saw here it was probably the same and the way they applied it there was places with no thermal paste let alone 1-2mm thick . This video is trash and in no way a decent tutorial of a thermal paste reaplication for the Acer Nitro 5 , just a crappy way to try and push they're products to less tech savvy people. Rarely do I ever post comment on KZbin , but this was one of those moment that made me do it. So all in all just clean your fans regularly.

Thermal paste makes a huge difference on performance on my laptop depending on the paste. That's why many people see huge improvements with PTM7950 phase change material with their laptops in various forums or reddit etc, it works extremely well on a laptop. Most people judge from the typical thermal paste tests from a desktop CPU and think it must be the same on a laptop. Also the performance degradation can be big after some months or even weeks. The higher the temp the faster it can degrade. Of course it depends on other things too, lots of laptops have pump out issues. Sure they want to promote their paste but I can say this paste works extremely good on my laptop. I tested a vast number of pastes in the last 3 years and in fact this paste as well as Aerocool Fuzion are the only two pastes which can match the performance of PTM7950 phase change material.

@@K543 Im not saying there isnt a difference in thermal pastes , I meant that IF they wanted a real before and after a repasting and to market they're product they should have cleaned up the fans and run tests then replace the thermal paste and run again so they can show that it is the thermal paste that made the temps drop and not just cleaning the fans. Also there is no excuse for that sloppy application and I'm betting in the long run they will have problem with the caps overheating since there was no thermal paste on some of them.

Thank you for your reply. 1. This tutorial is posted now doesn't mean that people should replace their thermal paste now. The tutorial will always be there whenever this laptop starts to slow down and throttle for people in the future. 2. Cleaning the fans is of course a very important step that can improve temperatures by a lot. If you want your laptop to run faster and cooler, cleaning dust from the fans is a must, and you shouldn't be surprised that cleaning the fans is a part of this tutorial. 3. Thank you for pointing out. We will better train our crew on this matter. Our KOLD-01 Thermal Paste uses a special non-solvant formulation design that can prevent paste drying up and losing thermal conductivity, resulting in longer lifespan, therefore it is not like other thermal paste that you might have handled before. 4. The "pink thermal paste" is thermal putty, a cheap, less-effective substitute for thermal paste that manufactures use on components that generate less heat. You can leave them as is, or replace them with thermal paste. Our company's mission is to make PC performance upgrades simple and low-cost for all. This is a tutorial video for people with this laptop that runs into problems such as overheating. We use the temperature before and after this whole process to show what a great improvement you can get just by cleaning the laptop and changing the thermal paste and let people know that they don't need to spend a thousand dollars for a new laptop. We offer our products as a kit for people to get everything they need to clean and upgrade their laptops more conveniently. Again, this is a tutorial video.

@K543 Thank you for the reply. We appreciate the kind words of our KOLD-01 thermal paste. We make these videos to fulfill our company's mission of making PC performance upgrades simple and low-cost for all.

Brah, thats not mayonnaise and Acer is not a brand of bread LoL 😮 This is why i dont trust computer shops to do maintenance on my things 😢

Indeed, offline stores aren't that great. Taking care of your own things can be more meticulous. Following our tutorials can make maintenance a breeze.

Don't do what he did in the video. The air temperature will exceed 100 degrees and Windows will immediately shut down or display the Blue Screen of Death. This thermal paste should not be placed on the chips around the processor and VRAM chips. This requires high-quality thermal pads or another similar product instead of thermal pads. I will not mention the names of some companies and the paste so that you do not think that I am making an advertisement for them. All you have to do is watch the videos. Another way to see how the gray or silver paste is applied to the processor unit and the graphics card. Next, you must cover everything around the processor and the graphics card with a special thermal paste of multiple colors and a material similar to thermal paste but more solid so that it can be placed over chips with a thickness of 1.00M VS 2.00. The same result happened to me, and the temperature was rising, as you are talking about now. The solution is a special high-quality thermal paste in CPU Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut 1gr 12.5w. Be careful, there are many imitations and fakes of this brand. You should be careful and buy from a reliable place@@SuicyYT

This is one of the worst thermal paste applications I've ever seen, I was physically cringing. Unless you want your device to short circuit, don't do this. Also the thermal paste was clearly liquid, so it didn't need the cleaning. This is an insane video.

This guy is a bucher . Just spread thermal paste everywhere this will damage you laptop for sure. He doesn't know what he is doing.
