I love my TourBox! Paired with my Huion HS610 tablet, my workflow speed has increased better than 200%, AND editing is even more fun! Like, all the knobs, dials, and buttons, it's just so satisfying using all these tactile actions. Plus, I hardly ever need to touch my keyboard while working.

I picked one up from the link above with the discount - saved myself some coin and help to support the channel too. It's soooo good. I don't think this video actually shows just how good it is for speeding things up for you. A really neat tool. Highliy recommend.

Anthony Turnham...... Good Day I've been following your outstanding you-tube video's for some time now...... Thank You. I have a question, i am considering getting a tablet & pen for my photo editing however i have been using ONLY my mouse + keyboard for years, To be frank i have no idea how to use a tablet & pen Do you use a tablet & pen ??? ..... Would you consider posting a video showing how you use our own tablet & pen during an image edit? The very kindest regards :-)
@LimitedSpectrum3 жыл бұрын
I LOVE editing with a graphics tablet. If you do a lot of cutouts, masking, and refined selections, it's the most valuable accessory you can get. If you want to test it out for yourself without a large investment (Wacom is pretty expensive), look at Huion tablets. They're very affordable, and have plenty of models to choose from. I use the HS610 model, because it has plenty of buttons and even a dial. But even a basic model really improves your workflow.

Love your videos, including this one. I too am keen to see if there are presets for Luminar 4 or AI.

I went searching the Internet & utube on seeing this & According to what I found you can indeed configure all software inc windows itself you just click the + in the settings section eg software to be configured & if it doesn’t appear in the list make sure the program is open & it will appear in the list of programs to be configured in this case Luminar AI Mocha Boris FX all the Adobe platforms etc. It does seem to be a game changer as I can never remember shortcuts on any software etc

@Susan Emmen Do you use it with Luminar 4?
@amazedtotally44113 жыл бұрын
It looks good but i would find it too clunky in shape. I would have suggested the Shuttle Pro 2. It can also be programmed for loads of applications including non photo editing software. I use it for Lightroom basically and it is such a time saver and allows more precise movement of sliders. It also fits the hand better due to its shape, it's natural just to rest your hand on it and control the buttons and wheel with your fingers. It's about £90 in the UK.
@AnthonyTurnham3 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. I've actually got the shuttle pro 2 but I didn't enjoy the feel of the buttons. They were very "clicky" and I struggled using it because of the RSI I was struggling with at the time I first got it. The Tourbox may look a little bulky, but the dials are smooth and the buttons are nice and soft which I prefer.

Hi Anthony ... I subscribed to you some time ago and love your teaching style... got Luminar 4 (and AI) .... thanks to you...LOL .. great apps!!!! Now I got this tool... but I haven’t the foggiest idea how to preset for either of the apps. Any chance you could show us how? Or ... where to get a preset? Nobody else has done it ... Cheers!

Hi Don, thanks for reaching out about this! I've got a huge video request list at the moment, but I think that's a really good idea. I'll do my best to get around to it, but I can't promise just because of how swamped I am at the moment.

Love your videos & approach Anthony.. So Ok back to pain!..I’ve got Tunnel Carpal Syndrome (varying degrees of pins & needles) in my left hand & Yep I’m left handed so it can be a royal pita when using a mouse & even worse on a graphics tablet when using a pen & ends up curtailing my editing creating etc..So your thoughts?

have you spoken with your family Dr. to get referred to a plastic surgeon re your TCS? Maybe find a happy customer in your area and learn what surgeon was used. I did that a number of years ago and have had both hands done and while basic were great in no time it took a few years to not have some mild nerve sensitivity. I used the same Dr. to have 4 fingers done for Trigger Finger and now they offer no issues. Too bad I sliced my left index finger with a very sharp knife as the nerves in the tip did get damaged but are improving. While I have not seen a LH trackball, because you don't have to move it but just click and roll the ball, maybe using it with your RH will work. Logitech M 570 is an excellent product and wireless.

Hmmm, all I can offer really is my sympathies and understanding as I've been through it. As I'm now, fortunately pain free, it's hard for me to give a definitive answer as to this helping. I imagine the variety and customizability would be beneficial though. That's what popped into my head when I was making the vid... if you do get one I'd love to know your experience.

Would be great to see a video of you using this product in photoshop adjusting colour for example. I find that all this controllers out there are great for Lightroom but not so much for PS as you can get stuff done a lot faster with keyboard shortcuts. I hate using my pen to move sliders in PS, if I can do that nicely with this product then I'd be very interested. Cheers
@AnthonyTurnham3 жыл бұрын
Hi Erwin. I've made a couple of changes to their default settings and have got it working really nicely in conjunction with my graphics tablet with PS. Brush size, opacity, switch foreground and background colours, add layer masks etc. All added to custom buttons and dials. It's a very nice workflow. Used it for a full day of editing in Photoshop and loved it.

Anthony thanks for the review. I'm considering this for Christmas - but - will it work with Luminar Neo?
@AnthonyTurnham3 жыл бұрын
Hi Evan. I really hope so! As far as I know devices like this can tap into the same instructions for movement and brush size etc, regardless if the software. Normally you have to set up your favourite hot keys for new software but yeah, I don't see why it wouldn't.

Heya Anthony. Great video (as always). Does this work "well" with LuminarNEO? Thanks, Chuck (old dude in North East Florida USA) : +)
@e635815 Жыл бұрын
It doesn’t work with Luminar Neo or others since their internal functions cannot be accessed by the TourBox. You then end up paying $200+ only to access basic file opening /closing functions but none of the photo editing features.

Who cares about the gear! I want a video on those lost years in southern France. I’m having Van Gogh flash backs. Looks promising but I want to see you use it with Luminar Haven’t done it yet but Skylum told me to try running AI via my high performance graphics card to see how that affects performance and crashing You can change your system settings in Windows to do it or right click on the AI desktop icon then open with the graphics card. Haven’t tried it so not sure but thought I’d give you a new tip Finally, please say what monitor you like and the price

I got the "WHATS IN THE BOX" reference, but Product and Pain.....?
@AnthonyTurnham3 жыл бұрын
Productivity, because it helps speed up your workflow. And pain, because, (not that I suffer with it any more thankfully) when I had repetitive strain injury from bad ergonomics and too much time sat operating the mouse/keyboard, a bit of variety for my hands would have been a god send. Since I made this video I've been using it heaps in conjunction with my graphics tablet and the two working together is fantastic!

@@AnthonyTurnham I guess I made reference to the wrong thing. What I meant to ask was.... When you said: "the people that sent me this box think this is about their product, but I would like to think it is about productivity; "See what I did there" I meant to ask what was it that you did there. As I didn't get it "Productivity" when I first saw the video After reading your reply, I was like what is he talking about... I just replayed that first part and I actually now get what you meant: "PRODUCT"...tivity.. I guess you were emphasizing that you were in fact talking about their "Product" In any case, I did enjoy the video and got distracted doing other things, and forgot to give you thumbs up. I did now, Thank you for your videos. They are very good.
