Speed Up Your Log Splitting - Shorten the Stroke for Faster Cycle Times!

Increase the production of a ‪@WolfeRidgeSplitters‬ log splitter with a stroke limiter. Less distance for the push block to travel means a faster cycle time. Different options and sizes of the stoke limiter are available on the Wolfe Ridge website.

I always have my stroke limiter on my 30” Stroke 35 SHO @ 24 inches - Works Great!

Just ordered mine, saw it demo’d by Chris with someone with a 36” stroke limiting it down to 16”. Yet another great product!

i just watched the WolfRidge demo of the stroke limiter a few days ago, now you just added some info, as well. Nice job. I am already scheming a way to make a limiter. I have a 24" cylinder stroke, but I split 20", 16" and 10" (10" for BBQ smoker wood). Going to draw up a limiter to help with the most split sizes. Also, splitting directly into the bucket ROCKS! That is my go to, unless I'm splitting into a trailer or directly to a pile location. Stopping to dump the bucket, when solo, is a quick little break, idle the splitter (a little cool down period), drink some water, dump the bucket, then back to splitting. Great video for those looking for production tips! My cardinal rule: never split to the ground, ever. Never ever.

Thanks! Yeah for 10" splits a limiter would really come in handy and if running for awhile would add up in more production. I agree with taking little breaks here & there just to break up the repetitive processes.

Finally someone has addressed this issue. Very clever design. Maybe they could come up with a system for some box store splitters. I think it would be popular.

Cool that Wolfe Ridge is doing a stroke limiter. My RuggedMade has a limiter that I use all the time. I like the Wolfe Ridge Design

Yeah doesn't seem like much if just doing a little splitting session but for an hour + run it would really increase production.

Nice going Dan on the Limiter. What an Idea from Wolfridge. Bob must of thought that one up. Anyways great Video as always. That's a nice design. Better than the ol' farmer cylinder stops that fit on the ram. Maybe just needs a hockey puck in there somewhere to eliminate the *clank* when it hits.

That stroke limiter would work great on your older 28c that didn't have the auto cycle. I thought you were going to send that one to your Dad's house?

Yep I'll be taking it down soon....he hasn't needed yet and said he wasn't gonna be splitting any wood with it as hot as it's been anyways.

I have a rugged made splitter it also has a syroke rimiter, i just cant afford ,its not in my buddgest for a wolfrige in it actualy has 2 mine is a 24 inch syroke i have it for 20 i also installd a autocucle 1 know its only 4 inch but over time it saves a lot of time because i split at 16 it gives me a little extra roomto put a log in it also has a shorter syroke for even shorter wood, i dont remember what it is, but with The autu cycle and shorter syroke over time it saves a lot of time, i would realy love to have The 37d w convator ,but i Get done quite a lot and mi all by myself

Oh yeah even just 4" can really make a difference, cuz it's 4" back in and then back out so yes it adds up.
