I’ve had mine now for 2 years and I love it. It’s lightweight, quiet, and looks great. My ONLY complaint is trying to find a tinted shield. I did find them, but their only available in Germany rn.

Hey Cole, Glad you're digging the Suomy Speedstar! I've passed this feedback along to the US importer for Suomy. Because this helmet comes with the build in sun visor they made a decision to not import exterior smoked screens due to lack of demand. Hopefully we can change their mind.

We did not test the wind noise. To help mitigate, we recommend a snug fitting helmet with a chin curtain installed.

The Suomy Speedstar runs true. At 22" you will be between a MD and SM. What size do you take in other brands?

Hey Thomas, All Suomy imported into the USA is DOT & ECE and labeled as such. What company did you purchase your Speedstar from?

DOT certification aka FMVSS (United States Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) only applies to helmets imported and sold in the USA.

Suomy rarely gets any love out on the streets, hahaha...... I personally haven't owned one but they seem to be of good high quality. Unfortunately people are SHEEP and want to sport the Arai and Shoei so they can look cool....... so, brands like Suomy and Shark often get overlooked.
