One of my runnin buddies found a '79, then his brother bought a '78 1/2 with square lights. Loved those old trucks. Yours is in great shape!

My 1878 ranger lariat was made in late 1977 and it came with rectangular headlights.

The square headlights were optional on the 78's. A construction supervisor that I worked for bought a new F 250 and ordered them on his truck. First time I'd ever seen them on a vehicle built in the U.S. back then.

Hi, i dreamed always of a Pick up truck as a german growin up in front of a big US army barracks.so sad to See how much vehicles even harleys were abandoned, collected and got scrap Metal. Even such a truck like this one here. I will never forget.

I had a 1977 I loved that truck, it was the same look as yours but was a cinnamon brown. It came with a am,fm with a cb built in with radio

What a beauty this truck is. I had a 79 which was a twin to this except in color. It was a pretty dark green. Unless I'm mistaken, those rectangular headlights identify this as a 79 model year. The 78s had round headlights, I believe. Either way, the new owner has a jewel.

I had very similar luck last yr I bought a 75 F250 that is nearly 100% un-molested it has 55K miles on it, your truck is a crazy find, I live in New England and we do not see cars or trucks like that up here trust me LOL Very pretty truck I like that you are leaving it as is ,

Hey dude noticed your radiator with the trany line attachments.. I bypassed them went to transmission cooler.. also went with a 4 core radiator.. made a world of difference..especially if you’re running air conditioning 😊

In the 1990s I had an F250 that I painted that color with the same trim package four-wheel-drive beautiful truck. It probably wouldn't hurt to replace all the rubber hoses on that truck

A known issue back then on those fuel pumps. That takes me back to my day of turning wrenches. Fixing the things on that truck that made it run better and last longer was key. A heck of a good truck and what a find!

That truck brings back so many memories. A guy that was like a grandpa to me had one almost identical. His was a long bed but same year and color. He used to pick me up after it snowed and would go out to the farm on the country roads and he would pull me down the road on a metal runner sled. We would probably get in trouble for that nowadays but sure was fun. He passed away in 2003 at 92 years old. Now after seeing this truck I'm on the hunt for one myself.
