Speedlite Ratios - Understanding The Basics of Flash Photography

Ratios on a flash speedlight are for controlling the balance of light between multiple flash units, allowing you to achieve the desired lighting effect in your photography.
Mark Cleghorn unravels some of the simple settings to get started and more creative using the Ratio Balance of a Speedlite for your flash photography.
Remember that:
1:1 = Equal Flash
2:1 = 1 Stop Difference
4:1 = 2 Stops Difference
8:1 = 3 Stops Difference
