For solid colors, the overall depth of single stage is hard to beat. An old school trick to help with gloss and maximize uv protection is to mix your final coat 50/50 with a compatible clear coat. Mix each separately first, then combine them.

Marc, do you reduce that clear coat??? i have 1/2 gal left an would like to reduce maybe 1 part. or even 2 parts. because i cant get the finish to look like that.

@@venezia7252 keep in mind if you reduce a clear with slow reducer it will flash off slower. If you reduce a clear with fast reducer it will flash off faster.

Maybe I missed it, but is this an Enamel single stage, or a Urethane? I'm guessing urethane?

Can’t tell difference on gloss. That single stage lays down flat!!!!!!! I just sprayed single stage a car for MAACO with my vevor and it couldn’t lay down that flat. Can’t believe the gloss! Gotta check out the price on your white and black single stages on the site

Hey man no point in clear coating single stage in my opinion. If your going for show quality yea this does work good however not 100% nessisary

Sometimes I add a splash of reducer to help it flash better , or if it's super hot I'll add a splash of slow reducer to help it flash slower
