This really struck something in me :'( Being it's called the 'final hour', and it's a pit bull, it reminded me of a horrifying reality that pit bulls -and other dogs, too- have to face everyday... dog fights forced by humans. Brilliant artwork and coloring style, and great song choice.

@BriarWing I do my shading exactly like the video shows, using the lasso tool to cut out highlights. It's not really complicated. And yes, drawing skeletons/muscles will greatly help with anatomy

very awesome, couldn´t do this in 90 mins. For the light, did u hmm kinda use straight usual lines and just blurred them? I really love all the light effects u gave here.Tutorials for gradiant shading didn´t help me much yet,maybe u could do one some time,I already learned from your tutorial for cell shading.This picture makes me really think of the character, is she forced to fight by human?

@Kaytothelink Nono. Haha. I know about that. I'm asking about when you're done with shading with the lasso tool, there's some sort of setting I think that makes the shading soft instead of hard. It's not done on this video, but you've done it on another.

@CrazyOtter64 I don't have a set canvas size, I crop it so much I never keep track. I normally never go smaller than 1000 pixels wide as a general rule. Self-taught, with the exception of a few drawing classes I took during my last semester.

@mitzymoonina Anti-alias is about all you can do, there's no special settings that will smooth out the edges and retain its shape. It's just sort of like inking, takes a quick and steady hand.

@BriarWing Yes, it's quite a shame people have such stereotypes against Pits - all the ones I've met have been perfectly lovely dogs. The only dog bite I've ever gotten was from a toy poodle - the small ones are far more aggressive than large dogs!
