hey there!! idk if you still read comments on this account but i just wanted to say that vids like yours inspired me to get into digital art!! i say this because a lot of the others who used to make speedpaints in the 00s and 10s have deleted their videos and it's just nice to see that some are still up ;w; hope you're doing well with your current endeavors!

I remember seeing this back in 2011. KZbin really fucked over the quality of it

Yah know, when I was younger I always thought this would look like an amazing picture for a young adult adventure novel. And even now and even though you art is so much better this still looks like it could be art for a book.

Hi! Was wondering if you knew what this artist's current name is or their alias on social media is? Been trying to dig deep and can't seem to find any of their more recent art. Hope they're okay and still doing art, for themselves at least. :)

@@LiliVillage Hey there, this is a surprise. But no I don't know what KaytotheLink's current account is, I don't even think they're active on the internet anymore.

I was on a late night nostalgia kick and decided to go digging for some of my favorite videos from my early years on KZbin. After some intensive searching I was finally able to track down your channel. I remember downloading this video on my iPod back in middle school and watching it during my long bus rides. You are one of the reasons I began perusing art in the first place. Your speed paints always amazed and inspired me!

I know this may be a stupid question but I see a lot of people say do not reference. Does that mean I can use the pictures as pose references?

Seeing this one speedpaint years ago had a massive impact on me creatively. It encouraged me to explore drawing more canine anatomy. Seeing this character gave me an idea for a story that I’ve been developing ever since. And, it gave me one of my favorite songs of all time. If not for this speed paint I may never have heard red’s music, and their music has been one of my biggest sources of inspiration. So thank you. <3

I missed this video a lot. It inspired me. Back then you kept saying you didn't want it stolen and assumed that happened, so you took it down.

I remember watching this video for the first time in 2011, or maybe 2012, and how much I learned as a budding digital artist just from watching it. While my style today is completely and entirely different from this, the lessons I learned from it and from your other videos changed how I learned to draw, and I'm not sure what sort of artist I would be without them. I don't know if you check this anymore or if anyone still watches these videos, but still-- thank you for the years of inspiration, especially for a young artist who had very little support.

Wow- every time I see your speed paints I get suddenly reminded of how I stumbled into drawing myself! That is to say watching people draw dogs in KZbin. You were my first really big idol- and you continue to be a massive inspiration- it sparked off enough that I actually got into art college this year. Congrats on the monster you helped cause to be unleashed onto the world

Dude, I would never have thought to use the render clouds tool like that. I've used it for giving texture to soil and stuff, but for some reason it never occurred to me to use it for clouds, which, now that I think of it, is actually really stupid of me XD I miss your videos... To be honest, I probably wouldn't be where I am today if it hadn't been for you and Avy and a few other artists that made videos back in 2009 and 2010. I would have never found my passion for art without you guys to show me that art's not some stupid class you're required to take in school. And without digital art especially, I never would have become good at working with computers, never would have been the only girl sitting in my Data Structures class this semester.Your Heartlines speedpaint alone had such an impact on my drawing style, I can't imagine what I'd draw like without having seen it. You helped change the course of my life, I want you to know that :) It's nice to see you around again, though! As for what specific stuff I'd like to see, I'm just glad you're back, but what might be cool is seeing you redraw one of your older pieces? Otherwise, post what you wanna post ;)
