Omg I think I found this. This is the first speed paint I've ever seen in my life. I was around 9-10 at that time when I first saw your video, I was like "this is so cool art, I wish I wanna be just like you" and I cannot stop replaying this vid over and over again. Time flies fast, You inspired me to start drawing art, thank you so much❤. (Sry for my bad english I hope you understand) Edit: this motivates me to start drawing again!

I have no idea actually. My best guess it came out around Halloween and that I learned a lot more about digital painting. I think this was the first video that I show the whole process -recording me sketching it as well as painting it digitally. Even if there is a lot I would do different today this is one of my personal favorite artworks I have done. Thank you ^^.

+Moose Boy You could get a scanner, they are not very expensive these days and I have had the cheapest pen-tablet there is on the market for years. Also a program with a stabilizer in it (there are many free ones, you just have to do a little search to find what suits you ^^.) Also something to record with (mine is Hypercam2 that is free as well) and some friendly neighborhood you-tubers that lets you use their music tracks ^^. So this is all possible on a minimal budget and a bunch of will and love for drawing ^^.

+WayneTully1 I have PSE 7.0 and reticently started with SAI (Iiiin love with SAI now XD). Actually you mostly need just basics. I have seen people do amazing digital art in MS paint so it is still about being an artist: knowing how to draw and paint that it gets down to. Although I recommend a drawing tablet (I have the cheapest available and it works fine ^^) and a stabilizer (dunno if ps8 has that built in) else u can find some online (I tried this one) : lazynezumi.com/ (free trial, but worth buying if you do not have it.) Then: layer...so many layers XD.

WayneTully1 He he not all about layers but a looot easier to work with.Also I wish I had known about stabilizers a long time ago, made it from trying to draw on a roller-coaster to firm ground XD. It takes time to get used to draw on a computer when one is used drawing and painting traditionally. I do both (digital/traditional) and they are both as much fun.

I feel really dumb but what's the difference between just drawing something vs rendering ?

No you are not. I have heard different people saying rendering means different things. I assume it means adding new layers and work with shadow/shade/color and so on, also heard it is to put a picture over another picture. Drawing to me is the sketching, cleanup-art and lineart. Coloring flat is one thing and the rest is rendering.

Just keep practicing and you´ll get there. Most important is to have that feel of fun when you draw or else it gets you nowhere. All artist look at someone elses drawings /paintings and go: darn...not even if I practiced for a 1000 years I could do that. But if you are determined you will get there in the end.

DarkRose 66697 No you are not being a pain: I am always glad to be able to help out. I use Photoshop elements and Paint Tool Sai. I recommend Paint tool Sai cause it has an inbuilt stabilizer. You will also need a pen-tablet (I have the cheapest available and it works fine, it is all about that stabilizer). I cannot write much in a comment but (I could not find out how to send you a private message) send me a private message with your email so i can write longer messages XD. Also it is all about practice.
