I don't know Korean either, but I do know the written "letters", actually follow a set pattern and are parts puts together to equal a syllable, unlike hiragana or katakana there was a logical system put into it, which I imagine would make learning it alot easier. Just pausing at the chart at 5:05 you can see the how the vowel and consonants are made of the same repeating parts combined. If you know the sub parts you won't have to memorize every combination, you basically only have 30 ish sub-letters, Korea also got rid of their version kanji. It's most probably the easier language to learn.

I've seen a couple of these videos about Duolingo, and while I'm not a huge fan of it, I think it misrepresents it. I use it, as many other people, and it can work. It's just a tool, if you use it wrong it won't help you. In general, it's a bad idea using just one resource to learn any language. A teacher will usually make you do a lot of different things: learning words, grammar, practice your listening comprehension, practice your pronunciation, and in general use the language. Duolingo doesn't do all of that, but that doesn't mean it doesn't help. Anki also doesn't do all of that, btw. I'd argue that Duolingo does as much as a _good_ Anki deck, and that a bad Anki deck is practically worthless. So yeah, just my rant, but I'd tell people to take this with a grain of salt.

Omg that was soo funny! I am sooo glad that I did NOT even think about using Duo Lingo. Instead I just bought Japan Edition "Lets learn Korean with BTS" (yup the whole thing is in Japanese :D ). Learning Korean is just something on the side. I really don't take it seriously. Last year around September / October, I watched so much Kdramas, might as well learn something haha.

I think you guys should try learning korean through japanese, it is a lot easy since this sentence structure is similar, grammar is similar, a lot of words are similar, and a lot of the sounds are similar
