My first car was 1985 Corolla GTS, known as AE86 else where, to say it was a fun car was an understatement. I took it everywhere, raced with every car on the road, and always put a smile on my face behind the wheel. Didn't know how special it was until I drove other cars later in life. Watching this video almost brought tears to my eyes. Now back home in Taiwan, my 2018 WRX in manual is trying to fill that void in my memory, but you can't expect a 1500kg+ car to have that direct and nimble feeling of sub 1000kg car. I miss my Corolla, wish I can rewind the clock...

kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZW3n6l7m8SdpKM My mom bought the facelifted (improved front & rear styling) 1986 SR-5.Despite being less sporty than the GT-S, the ride was already stiff & tiring on California's hour-long freeway commutes, while still got far less “steering feel” than our German-made Rabbit (Mk1 Golf), which got long deep suspension travel & was ideal for the twisties in my Palos Verdes hometown -- according to Auto Week magazine.
Lots of nostalgia in this episode. Brings back memories of Initial D when it first debut, and the JDM craze it ignited. Happy for NaNa for finding her AE86 at last!

我也是,会开始喜欢86就是因为看了头文字D,也是因为看到(惯性漂移),然后就从我10岁喜欢它到现在☺️Nana太幸运了,居然可以找到这么好车况的86,羡慕,我的dream car

I remember when I was a little boy my father owned an AE86...I just don't remember who bought it from him when we move to KSA,love that classic car and you driving that sleeper car gives joy and nostalgia to us...love your video
Really congrats! It reminds me when I got my FC, what Nana said really strike me, I had the same feeling, your own car is always the best, it is like a dream come true.
