The sheer quality of these videos is self evident for all to see and it is the wonderful backdrop photography that provides that extra dimension. The point I want to draw attention to is that the way things are going that very idyllic scene will probably disappear in the next ten or fifteen years in the pursuit to Net Zero by 2050. Large swaithes of the countryside will be given over to solar panels, wind turbines and the construction of new towns and cities to accommodate the rest of the world that is increasingly making its way here each year. In the meantime, there will be blackouts as electricity is rationed followed by food shortages.

As always, thanks for posting another scenickly interesting & steamy video! Love your short scenes of various botanicals & stuff. An observation by a Yank: The proper lubrication, maintenance, and repairs on a locomotive having Cylinders & Valve Motion in-between the frameplates surely must be a humongous p.i.t.a.?? ;-)

As for oiling and the like on inside cylinder locos, it certainly is a lot more awkward. I think I'm right in saying Great Western types are known to be particularly difficult in that regard!

Again, a high quality production. Unusual to see the mixed train with the passenger car up against the loco instead of the tank wagon being first. I travelled on this line in 2023: it wasn't the most scenic one on my trip from Australia, but nonetheless worth doing.

One thing I don't like: being teased with boring old scenery. I prefer to see steamies in action straight away, pardon my being picky. How many GWR tank engines are preserved altogether? You can't count 5193, because she's now a 2-6-0 Mogul tender engine, no. 9351.
