Had really good times with these , for a first time elrs user this year been a pleasure to use cheers Andrew just want to say thanks for the fc videos really helped with my build 👍

Great to hear. ELRS is so good when you work it out.

SpeedyBee has been doing well lately. BTW, 100mw telemetry is incredibly high, they must have TXCO, temperature controlled oscillator - otherwise the heat would push the oscillator and thereby frequency out of spec. That would lead to loss of signal. Pretty cool tech.

100mw is music to my ears. Much more music than the "telemetry lost, telemetry recovered, telemetry lost, telemetry recovered".. etc. Shit makes my brain boil
@pvim3 ай бұрын
It does not have a TCXO.

100mW is pretty standard for ELRS receivers with PA/LNA. The teeny little ELRS receivers are ~10mW telemetry.

Thanks for this, just got one a few days ago 2.4ghz, might have to get myself a 915mhz as well, quite small :)

Yes they are excellent and tiny

Got one, installation and testing went relatively smoothly, not as well as with the radiomaster rp's I usually get but wanted to give this a try since its a few bucks cheaper. Then come time to take the new build out for a maiden flight and it bricked itself before I even got to fly. LED is solid red and won't go into boot mode, so I can't even reflash using ELRS BF passthrough. Now I have to buy a recovery dongle since its out of the return window and the company won't cover it with their warranty, just hope that works. Not sure what's up with their quality control but this is the second Speedybee product I've had major issues with.

Mine is working as it should. Hope you can recover it.

Sir Newton.... Thanks for the video. Where are your getting the 4-pin servo (molex) connectors?
@AndrewNewton3 ай бұрын
Ebay - Dupont connectors. They come in a box of various pin counts

Andrew I'm looking at getting a eye in the sky at night and bought a thermal camera (don't have it yet) with a "LAN" output . and think I need to get it to analog PAL or NTSC . We have a bad wild hog problem here in East Texas . I want to eat them most folks just want to kill them but as messed up as everything is getting they may start eating them like it or not . Anyway I can't find much info on converting from LAN to PAL you being the sharpest guy I know on all that sort of subject , maybe you could help or point me in the right direction . You have a blessed one my friend . Oh yeah it's a Skydroid C12 , might help if you knew what I was using . Like to use it with Aomway or even the one in this video .

Sounds like a fun project but I have no idea about LAN connections sorry.

Very nice, but.... only one antenna means no diversity. What happens when you fly and the plane's antenna lines up with your transmitter ? Don't you lose signal (especially at longer distances) ?
@HermyH663 ай бұрын
For range you place both rx and tx antenna vertical, with that you'll only fly in the null zone when flying directly above you.
@AndrewNewton3 ай бұрын
If you did a sustained knife edge out at 5km you might have a problem, but the flight control board will switch to RTH.
@PhilnotTony2 ай бұрын
@@AndrewNewtonahh you’ve seen the way I fly then? Completely unintentional mind😂
@techstuff68292 ай бұрын
You might consider one of the diversity receivers…I have vertical and horizontal on my plane.
@techstuff68292 ай бұрын
@@HermyH66 Both vertical is suitable for long range level flight. If you roll 90 degrees then you’ll see much reduced signal strength.

Can anyone see a problem with running one of these as a backup receiver for an aircraft with a Beta VPV 14 channel ? Is it even necessary in a 2m Rc aircraft for line of sight operations? I was also wondering how I would even test for that redundancy given the servos are connected to the 14 CH Betaflight. Any tips ?
@AndrewNewton3 ай бұрын
Can do it with FrSKY receivers but as far as I'm aware ELRS doesn't do redundancy like that.

Can i make ELRS work with my Spektrum radio? A new radio is too big of an unnecessary expense.

Unlikely unfortunately. Unless you can fit an ELRS RF Module and run Lua scripts.

my rx will not go into boot mode properly. When i do it with the button, it had a solid red led. I attempt to flash and it gives me the "no reset" error. I have tried over wifi, and all other options. I updated my transmitter no problem
