Spektrum smart 150a esc FIX!

New spectrum firma 150a esc will not work properly. It skips the lipo cell count when turning on with transmitter on.

Saved me so much frustration bruh! My S650 servo had gone bad and made my Spektrum 150A esc non-functional until I switched to a new servo (Eco Power ecp-110T). Now, thanks to you: my 6s converted infraction mega is alive again!

I’ve had servos put the whole system. I couldn’t find a fix, but I always unplug everything and see if it works with nothing installed. I was shocked! Oh well, you figured it out!!!!!👍💯👊🍻

My Typhon 6s esc caught on fire .got a new one...mine workes..but it seems when the fire happened it shorted out the Reciever, as mine doesnt even light up...but if a new Reciever doesnt work..ill try this.. I took me 2hrs to fiqure it out..but glad you got yours working.

Bind/rebind radio w/receiver is what I did to fix same issue upon installing new ESC

Mine won't even power on, it does nothing. The servo was very slow and going bad I'm wondering if it could fry the ESC I'm going to get another esc and servo to try. If anyone has solved the no power at all issue I would love to hear how you solved it, been scratching my head aswell.

Yeah there is an issue where the s652 specifically shorts out the firma150 - happened in both my typhon and mojo - happens when it get wet. Hh should honer warranty on tis and the new shipped ones do not suffer from the same issue - alternatively- as you have you can install a new servo. Now servos from Jennys my have the same issue depending on the bath as they from rtr stock. Kicked my self once we figured it out - more people should talk about just to get people back up and running sooner

That happened to me one time and needed a servo . This time though it’s an intermittent green flash which means overheated and didn’t come back . Steering works , fans work on the esc and motor , no throttle . Tried everything . It’s said the “mosfets” get fried or one does and it’s done . Common issue I guess on the spectrums , made by hobbywing supposedly for the arrmas . Prob cut the cost with a cheaper part inside like most companies do . A lot of said in comments thst htis has happened several times with arrmas 150 amp smart esc s and not to the retail hobbywing esc s . Thanks to Jenny’s or ot would be 3 x the cost but if it happens again I ll be going HW . Or if the warranty covers it this time I ll have an extra for something else for $65 and a 6s capable esc . The v2 was $20 more

I was thinking that binding the receiver again with new servo might be the fix. Perhaps the system didn't recognize the different servo and was expecting factory settings.

My Typhon doesn't do anything just power button lights up. No beeping, no steering, no esc lights, no receiver lights. Thoughts?

Your ESC is most likely toast. Once I went through all the BS with my Kraton now I always check each piece of electronics with a second set that I know all works properly . The batteries als

I have the same ESC as you do, Is there a way to program it to have a Y splitter on the throttle connect to be able to use a servo break?

Nor did I good sir! I tried every combo of different rx, tx, esc, and motor combos and that’s only thing that would work. I could get to setting up throttle and end points but would got partially through set up leaving out one setup option every time like no left steer or no throttle. It was very strange, but through process of elimination I was able to see what was doing what.

What is that secondary sound that is behind the beeping from the esc. My Team Corally Kronos has a spekrum esc that sounds the same and it drives me nuts. Is it the metal gears engaging or something? I'm new to the hobby but I've gone a little crazy with it and already have 10 or so other vehicles and none of them make the same sound. None of them rip like the kronos does spekrum motor and esc either though. Just curious if it's normal or if there's a way to make it not have that awful sound every time I turn it on.

It’s a normal spectrum thing. Probably just bouncing a signal to motor making sure is good to go!

@lawrencefournier686 right on.. I bought the kronos used on an eBay auction. It was super clean and ripped, but that sound had me thinking maybe there was a reason the guy wanted to sell it. I just bought a 1:8 scale team associated nomad DB8 without a single scratch even on the skid plates with 4× 4s batteries(only one ever opened that worked perfectly for 50 bucks on offer up. It looked like the guy bought a storage shed and was flipping all the stuff from the pictures. If he only knew what the thing was worth, he'd probably try to figure out the best way to kick himself in the nuts. When you Google it, the first thing that comes up is a typical price range, and it says 49 to 57 dollars. When you actually click on it, though, that's just for the body alone, so I suspect he saw that and didn't investigate further. I honestly kind of feel bad about it. One in the same condition with no batteries just sold on eBay for 7 hundred something. The only difference was it had the original box, but personally, I'll take the batteries.

I have the Traxxas review 3.3 Nitro I tried switching up to the SpektrumDx5 and the remote only controls my steering, As it should but won’t work with my throttle servo. About a minute with the transmitter and truck on my throttle steers along with the wheel. Any tips

Sounds like you just need to reset your electronics then set all the setting up for throttle and end point adjustments. You can search KZbin for a vid on how there all tons. Search keyword for your brand controller.

I think the servo is overloading the receiver causing the power to the esc to drop then come back and cause a restart.

Yeah u need the smart battery with the gray single wire attached because it's not grounded without it.you cannot add random batteries with smart technology. It knows

That's not true at all I run normal batteries in my infraction and normal typhon 6s and it's works completely fine, all that grey wire is for is the telemetry for battery voltage.
