After such a disappointing Game Awards, we finally get some good news with Exodus and Dawnwalker. Exodus feels like an upgraded Mass Effect, which for me is great :)

Optimistic for this game. Not hyped yet (nothing about the game grabs me beyond it's promise and pedigree), but hopeful. Girl with the purple hair is a red flag, though. Nowhere near a deal breaker or cause for alarm, but in any game that type of character design is a well established red flag to always make note of.

I think in terms of story, writing and dialogue it will be very good. The person who is writing it is among the best and also check out the book, the Archimedes Engine. I made a video about it (no spoilers) but you learn a little about the book and why it is worth it as well as relevant to the game.

I finally.. FINALLY got access to the book and audiobook today!! Going to be listening to it over the next few days. Cannot WAIT!!! Have to admit, I love her hair colour, but that is a VERY unfortunate cut lol. Reminds me of the old "bowl cuts" of the late 70's and early 80's if mum didn't have the time/money for a hairdresser 🤣 I guess it makes sense if she's wearing a mech suit and helmet all the time but yikes! Ugh it really looks like the Andromeda we deserved but never got. Can't wait.

@@spellandshield Haha yeah, I like multicoloured hair. Mine's purple (gasp) at the moment and down to my waist. It's about to get dyed green again soon and lobbed off to a very short pixie cut. It grows so fast I'm brave enough to play with it a lot. If I hate it, it's only a few weeks and it's all new again 🤣 Boy do I hate her haircut though!

​@@cantonold7014We did though. Not counting remakes. Metaphor, Astro Bot, Stellar Blade, Helldivers, Wukong, Like a Dragon 8, Hades 2. These are the ones I played this year and all of them range from decent - amazing. You genuinely have to be either blind or actively wanting to hate to not see how many good games come out. Sounds like you just play COD and Fifa. Even next year we have Kingdom Come 2 and Monster Hunter in the same month ffs

This artstyle is so... weird. I don't vibe with it at all. I also don't like the initial companions but some story elements seem interesting. The whole "time dillation" thing it's obvious it will be limited and it will be something like choices to mass effect... sure there are "choices" but the outcomes are better or worse depending on the choices, they aren't really different you don't really shape your own unique story. But I do have hope. At least more than mass effect 5.
