Sea Raider If I remember correctly the reasoning behind Harry being left with the Dursleys (at least according to Dumbledore at some point of the book series, Order of the Phoenix maybe?) is that the protection against Voldemort that Lily gave Harry when she died can last until he is 17 (?) if he stays close to her blood (meaning Petunia who is Lily's sister). ALSO can we talk about how Lily is like such a nice, timeless and pretty name but Petunia straight up sounds like the baby just came out of the womb looking like the horse-faced raisin that she is at age 40???
