It kind of makes me sad how people want to get rid of their accents, to me there is so much charm in the different ways people pronounce different words. To me what matters is if people can understand what you are saying, otherwise I see more of an edge to take advantage of. This is coming from someone who has a very boring West coast accent.

Richie was interested in Carrie at first before she knew Doug but when she got together with Doug he was no longer interested in her. Spence is the only one where there are a few hints that he likes Carrie, but not even that many; actually only in one episode of season 3, the one where Doug buys a new car (Spence looks at Carrie's legs and compliments her on them) and at the very end in the show's finale when he helps Carrie move into her apartment he falls for her. Nothing happens in between.
