Viewers can observe your dedication in the filming and editing, as well as your progression as a rider. The apparent commitment is complimented with an all-comers welcome attitude. BMX is shown through a non bias and welcoming point of view. All riding is good riding is a common theme, showing that anyone can have fun on a bike. Remember watching this video late 2017 right after getting my bike and went out and mastered all of these things. The best thing you can do for yourself is finding a group of friends to hang out and have a good time riding bmx, Friends are a good way to progress and be competitive with. Today we had a highest hop contest and I was hoping a standing bike hight. I used to hop folded lawn chairs (laying down unfolded)in my driveway and barley make it over them. Bmx is the best thing that’s happened to me and as long as you have the mindset to strive to get better and are not afraid to try new things it will be the most fun you’ll ever have

It's been a couple years since I saw this video but I did give these things a shot although granted haven't been able to spend much time BMXing here in Scotland for all kinds of reasons. One thing I did was get a bottle and just "kick" it around with my bike in different ways, hitting it with the tyres. It was really fun, helped me learn some of the intricate stuff for bike control. By the end of the night (yes, one night) I went from just being ok with that kind of stuff to really having fun with it. I was whipping the bottle with my back wheel and shit. I left at 2am and came back to my flat at 5 or 6am. Some of the reactions were quite good where I was too, drunk people stopping to watch me and shit haha. Keep doing you Spencer and thanks for making this video!

Any way, I just got a new bike and have only been riding for about a week (when it hasn't been raining). I've mainly been thinking of BMX as just exercise. I tried to do some of the harder tricks but got discouraged, but because of this video I'm now focusing only on having fun, hoping, and balance and I'm already seeing improvements. I had the same problem. Everything I am about to tell you will help a lot. (it did for me, at least) Put your seat up like 6 in or as high as it goes. this helps keep the bike under you. (you can lower it when you are more comfortable) Get a pair of gloves. Thank me later. If you have a trampoline, make a tramp bike. Words can't explain how much a tramp bike helps. If you dont have a trampoline, maybe take your wheels and cranks off and try them flat with your feet on each side. Feels dumb, but thats as close as you can get to the real thing. Once you are comfortable with the motion, find a flyout quarter and force yourself to throw them. It takes time

Been following you and adam for a while now and have only started riding just recently. Didn't really know what to practice other than bunny hops and manuals so this video was perfectly timed. Would definitely like to see more of these every now and then. Something else you might try on one is find someone new to bmx and teach them a few things to also see it from the beginners perspective. Love your work man, keep it up!

Please keep making videos targeted to beginners. All the other beginner videos are the same shit every time. Your video had some different tricks and things to try along with the classics.

Noah Lam wow it's good to know someone's in the same shell as I am. But bmx takes patience and time to learn new tricks so you half to kind of expect that

This is good it's about time someone took the time off to show you how to ride BMX bike. I myself always wanted to learn how to do tricks on the BMX bike. So now this is my chance to learn I'm a beginner. I've been seeing guys do tricks on the BMX bikes and it's a beautiful thing. Especially when someone is very skilled and good. Thanks a lot my brother I will be looking at all your stuff.

I'm about to buy my first BMX & start trying to learn a few tricks. I ordered a La Bestille. Cant wait! However, I am intimidated by all the amazing people I see in all these videos. I'm ready to face my fears. Lol! Lets Go!!!!! BMX is Rad! 👍🏾

To just reiterate what everyone else is saying big thanks to this video it shouts out everything that's right. In my opinion at least. It gave me somewhere to start and some confidence I'm not the only one

As a 32 year old accountant who has never owned a bmx but grew up watching the likes of Mirra and Hoffman this made me want to believe.

Dude, back in the late 80's / early 90's, you would have been considered a "soul rider"..as lame as that sounds now...and I would have rode with you every day. I still ride. I taught my boy all this stuff when he was seven. When I was growing up and playing in bands, there were tons of guys who could play the solo to some Metallica or Danzig song...but couldn't write a song of their own to save their lives. These guys are the equivalent to all the dudes learning bar spins and tail whips before they even know what it means to have your bike truly under control. You, sir, are the real side of BMX...and you've restored my faith that there is FREE in Freestyle.
