I have a Seiko 7002 that I bought 8 years ago. It's from 1984 and it's in a very good condition and working perfectly. Many thanks Spencer for another enjoyable video. Adios!

That was the most legendary on the fly beat error adjustment I’ve ever seen.
@SpencerKleinVintageWatch Жыл бұрын
uh wow, really? Is that good?
@Jackofdiamonds-l6x Жыл бұрын
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch yeah, I think it is anyway. Any time I’ve adjusted the beat error it’s changed the speed, and then vice versa. It’s kind of a juggling act, unless I’m doing something horribly wrong. By the way, how are you adjusting the best error. Is it twisting that little screw, or moving the lever it sits on?

I just bought a pretty beat, 7002-7000. The bezel insert is really in terrible shape and i want to replace it. Maybe even the entire bezel. How do i know what insert it is supposed to have? The one in it has a large lume pip with a slight dome. Is that aftermarket? I see many different varistions when i search for them. Yours here looks just like it but in your other video from years ago you restoring a 7002-7000 it has a small lume pip like a skx. What one is correct? How do i tell aftermarket from OEM? Does anyone make a good aftermarket insert that is acceptable if i cant find a oem im happy with?

Why is it the movement marked Singapore?
@SpencerKleinVintageWatch Жыл бұрын
Because Seiko set up a plant in Singapore.

I’ve got one of this too, but my movement is marked japan. Is it Possible?

Faced with an HZ 2189 Can you talk for a second about the pin/bar at 10:28?
@donnydemarco3963 Жыл бұрын
Is that the same case as skx007?
@SpencerKleinVintageWatch Жыл бұрын
Almost. First and second-gen 7002s have their crown at 4, SKX is at 3:45. You can put one movement into the other but the dials will be off kilter.
