So nice to find fur friendly hotels. Did it smell ok and not of wet dog? Ooh nice sandy beaches. We used to take our late fur daughter to the beaches on the IOW, where my late mother in law used to live. A lot of the main south coast like Brighton is very pebbly and not good for paws or bare feet. Not being funny or anything but wouldn't of guessed you made it, it is that good! Well done you! Yes that is one of the problems of taking dogs on holiday with you, is that there is always one of you outside waiting with the dog, especially in the rain, etc. Bless him though, he did look exhausted but looked like he had a good time and Ted too! hehe Don't kick yourself Emma! That Oslo hat is fantastic! I know sometimes we see our minute work but i couldn't see any mistakes. I think with the tension, i always knit in the same kind of mood. Ie, i don't knit when i am stressed as my stitches will probably be more tighter in places. Love that neckline on the jumper. Giving late '50's 60 vibes. Oh that is such fab news about your surgery! Will be thinking of you but don't worry about YT until you are ready. Main thing is you heal properly and rest. I am sure you will catch us up when you are ready after. Will you be making bedside snacks? Only proper surgery i had was when i had an emergency c section and we had just finished the kitchen after moving in. One thing i regretted was making or having healthy bedside snacks. See if you can borrow a V pillow from someone too to help prop you up in bed. Big cup with long straw, so it doesn't spill in bed. Chap stick. Think of food you like when you are sick in bed. Might sound like sucking eggs but i forgot a lot of things after surgery, plus i just had a baby. So are they removing the stones or doing something as well to stop it going forward? I was sick most of Crimbo with a bad case of on going sinus infection. Finally cracked up the courage to fill in those online forms to speak to one of those PA's at the GP but i think as it was last Friday, it must of been quiet in the surgery as got a call straight away from an actual GP i know! Well shocked! Still on antibiotics. Thing with having kids, the schools are really nasty with germs and ppl not washing their hands. Covid, What covid? Flu and other new viruses going around before Christmas. During "covid lockdowns" There was proper cleaning of the school, hygiene gel and they got the kids to wash their hands more often. That all stopped about a year ago now, so the viruses are playing catch up. Was a good Christmas though. Our child loved their presents and was shocked to get a MCFC dressing gown (vinted, new), also bagged a John Lewis hooded dressing gown new from vinted for a bargain as his Tesco's one is so worn, probably good for summer, unless i can find a nice summer one from vinted, as been selling a lot of baby stuff off to clear some space. I am so happy to get my pressure canner from the US in the BF sales! Even with spare parts and the Ball canning book it was about £100 cheaper than buying in the UK! Also got a Charles Dowding calendar on sale! Told hubby not to get too jealous of having Charles's lovely veg out on display every month! lol That is all i was asking for but got a lovely new memory foam pillow for my back (and head obvs). £30 budget for seeds. For my birthday in May, i have already asked for proper canning jars. I don't really need much other than to help me grow in the garden and preserve it. Our Child is going on their first proper stay away from home/ first night/week away from me this year. Kinda nervous ngl, plus it is really expensive, when the reviews for their accommodation is crap! I need to remember that it is character building, involves more independence, which i try to get them to do. I might just ask hubby for a holibob near the place. Our parents are too old to babysit and wouldn't put that pressure on them. Our mother in law did babysit when she was able to come over i think twice. My sister lives in the Netherlands. London community isn't what it was, especially where we moved out 4 miles to. Lots of other communities. Local butchers no longer sell pork. No Hairdressers as bought for barber shops. 4 Barber shops in the village. One offered ladies cut. They tried to give me a painful dry cut as they said their hair washing sink wasn't working a year before and after saying the same thing. I cut hubby's and our childs hair and get hubby to cut mine now, after i section it all off for him. Long are the days since i had highlights and used to love my old hairdressers on the high street. Very progressive place, with cool music and they offered you beer or wine too! My pfp was from when i did a hair modelling thing in 2018 i think for Gina Conway. First time since i was a kid i has a straight cut bob and bangs in forever! I had long hair before that. SIA inspired i would say. I dyed my hair loads after but giving my hair a break atm. Think i paid £5 for the cut and £10 for the dye, which isn't bad considering the hours you spend there and it could of been really bad! Oh before i waffle on more, we did ge to see the London fireworks irl from our loft window! I used to live in Putney and my sister and I would be in our pj's and go to the top floor of the block of flats to watch them. Now we live further out, we can see them from the loft and it looks more WW2 but in colour, in how it lights up the clouds and skyline. We see the big fireworks and the colours but there is a lot of smoke that it produces that picks up the colours. We also get to see garden displays up there around the area, which is prevalent considering that this area was also bombed in WW2. First time we saw a fox too in the street, other than digging up our garlic and leaving a runny poo, looking confused as what was going on. What games is Sam playing? Is he on Twitch? Yes, i still have bulbs to plant but we have a bolster and hammer in our crappy clay soil! haha Our daffodils are having a mental crisis atm as they are blooming in -3c temps! Nasturtiums died on 2nd Jan in -3c! Surprised they hung about tbh as we normally have so much rain. Meant to be snowing or rain here but neither and feel cheated ngl. I get really excited for our child to see snow but nope! Our 2005 fiesta is still iced inside and out though. Gutted we lost one of the window/ door trims recently as the glue finally gave up on the dual carriageway. Had it since 2008 but really impressed with it, especially since it escaped the ULEZ cull! I think it is 154 on the model. It's going for it's MOT/service end of month so fingers crossed. I love the cozy/ downtime vibes you have going on. I love that you do off allotment vlogs and keep it real. It can be quite easy to be caught up in this and that trend or hyper focused on gardening but it is winter and cold and Jan. Just noticed when i looked up Whitby as i recognised the name, lots of massive parks i have forgotten about. Wasn't Withering Heights based off of the moors? I love Jane Austen to for the locations. My "Becoming Jane" DVD got broken and was devasted. He could have just told me that he didn't like me playing so much! lol Anyway, if anything i have given you a novel to read in post op. lol Sorry. Might pick some sprouts and carrots for sunday dinner. Our spuds in the workshop are fairing better than the shop ones. The Veggie Boys explains a lot of things about storage. Take care and hope you keep warm and dry this week!

Haven't seen your videos for ages - and here you are in my home town ❤ Love The Stables had a few meals there 😀 I live up on the West Cliff about 15 mins walk from the whalebones - I love knitting started when my grandson was about 2 - made lots of cardigans jumpers and hats but then discovered knitted toys and made loads of them for him ❤️ I also knitted a sailor for my son to take on ship (he's in the Navy ⚓) have had to stop because of arthritis in my wrists - but my new passion is gardening so still have something to blow my money on instead of wool and knitting patterns 😆😆😆😆😆 I made many cockups with knitting 🙄 it's all part of the fun 🙄 you just have to be patient 👍 also had gall bladder operation about 5 years ago so glad when it was done I went to York hospital to have the op 😷 happy birthday to Sam - my grandson Noah was 5 on December 29th 💙💙💙 he's flown to Gran Canaria today with his mummy and her family ⛱️🌞😎

It is lovely to see you all again, but I am glad you took some time off to just enjoy time off. Watching and then having the comments is like the ultimate social interaction for people who aren't good at being social (me!) :D I can understand feeling anxious... as you said, you had to make sure Ted was alright and it's a different environment... basically the ol' unknown. I haven't needed the bell... but if it will help your metrics I'll click it :D Love your question approach with that Guess Who :) Possibly related to loving your question approach... Outlander is not just for women ;) My wife introduced me to it (the spiceyness is constant throughout all seasons). Your knitting looks awesome! I bet you are chuffed you stuck with it even when you felt defeated... well done! Very glad to hear you have progress on your Gall Bladder issues. Take all the time you need. I've decided I need to shed some kilos... (having said that I just had a toasty with my wife's dinner that she didn't want as she's feeling under the weather, that threw my calorie count out the door... but oh well). I'm taking my son for a bit of a road trip tomorrow (well today as it's now 2:01am)... next week my youngest gets to go and watch Dear Evan Hansen with my wife then that Sunday I will take them to Midsumma Carnival (basically the start of our pride festivities :D )

Great video and a nice place you stayed in Whitby. We’ve had so much snow here in Bingley it’s unreal and I think it’s forecast to be -9 tomorrow so the allotment is definitely out of the plans. Love your knitting you are so talented, I can only knit scarves but I’m not blessed with a lot of patience. Good luck with your op and be careful watching Schitt’s Creek as laughing might be a bit painful for you. Deb

Happy belated birthday Sam! Yay Emma I am so glad you have got your date for your gall bladder removal! I have had mine removed over 10 years ago now, and the relief from it is just amazing! You may wake up with bad wind pain as they have to inflate your abdomen and the key to helping that release is getting up to walk as soon as you’re feeling able to and swinging your arms around like windmills at the side of your body… sounds crazy but trust me, it helped me out with 2 abdominal surgeries I had! ❤️ good luck! X
