I was very sick in 1st trimester and threw up iron suplements, too. It's not from gut microbiome but bc the stomach is sensitive. I could take iron gluconate from 14 weeks on again. Beware - I started the pregnancy with a decent iron blood storage and ended it anæmic, white as a 👻 Baby took it all. So I advise taking moderate amounts from 2nd trimester, especially if you don't have the meat cravings this time. Iron uptake from vegetables etc is misearble. Be healthy 🩷

I’m due Feb 18th with baby #4 (3rd boy in a row so I feel you🤪) I’m 26 and man, this 1st trimester was rough! Especially with my little ones to watch. You’re a trooper girl!!🙌 My oldest is 5 and is so helpful, that’s the only reason I got through it. This is the second time my kids will be 19 months apart! 🙈 excited but nervous for baby to arrive. Congratulations girl!! It’s absolutely insane to me how eerily similar my first pregnancy was to yours now. Down to the due date. I was due February 14th on Valentine’s Day and I had him on Valentine’s Day almost 11 years ago. I had all the same exact symptoms you did, same cravings allll of it. So happy for you though!!! I'm due with my second the same week as you! And I have to say, I appreciate you sharing so honestly what your first trimester was like, as I was super similar. Even though I didn't throw up, I had soooo much nausea and fatigue, bad food aversions, reflux, congestion, etc. Basically the whole nine yards! It sucks, but I will admit it's nice knowing I'm not the only one who feels like trash when pregnant.

It sounds like you were having the same electrolyte balance issue as me with my third and last pregnancy! I would drink tons of water and it wasn’t making me feel hydrated enough and food was hard to even think about eating. It turned out that having some Powerade(there’s so many options) first thing when I woke up really helped my stomach and head feel so much better. Then I could properly eat and drink water and function. That’s why the pickle juice and sour candy are helping you! I loved and craved sour candy too. I hope your next trimesters are better! 🩵

I've had 5 pregnancies and only had the saliva issue while pregnant with my girls. it got to the point where i couldn't even swallow i had to carry a container or water bottle to spit in! So gross!! Congratulations! I have no idea how you manage pregnancy and looking after the kids. When i was pregnant with my third, i couldnt get out of bed for the first 12 weeks. It was absolutely horrible, and had a 1 year old to look after as well. Now that our third is 1, my partner and I were talking about having a fourth but have decided we will stop at 3, my main reason was that i know i wont be able to handle being pregnant with 3 kids.
