Spend The Night In This Futuristic Apartment | Tokyo CyberPunk City Ambience | Rain On Window

Spend the night in this unique BladeRunner style CyberPunk/Coruscant style future Tokyo city, with flying cars going by outside your window and the rooftop bars in full swing, take some time to just relax and take in the view, high above the streets down below. Every now and then the camera will watch a car drive up to the rooftop nightclub so you can get a better view of what is going on opposite. I was aiming for a cross between Akira, BladeRunner and Coruscant from Star Wars.

Tech Stuff:
This was rendered 100% in Unreal Engine 4. And all the sounds were made by myself. For the flying car sounds, I used the same techniques that SkyWalker Sound used for the cars in Coruscant in Attack Of The Clones. I'm very happy with how they turned out.

I once went to Germany and stayed in a suite with my family. There were windows like this next to the bed I was sleeping in. The view was pretty futuristic as it was looking into a housing complex/shopping mall with blue and purple lights. It gave the same vibe as this. I remember sitting on my bed with a cup of tea when everyone else had gone to sleep and all you could hear were the faint city sounds. I hope you enjoy this one, there are many details in this scene, the flying car sounds were generated by myself, something I had never tried before! This scene also has a drone intro, and a moving camera that tracks a car dropping people off to the Stardust rooftop bar, there’s actually a couple of different cars that do that. Also if you look closely, you can see people already there enjoying themselves. I have also dotted a few other people around the rooftops. There are many renders that I made here that are all stitched together to create a large scene with a few variations over the space of around 10 minutes. Can you find all the people in this scene? They aren’t all at the bar 👍

Omg! I used to think what a dream it would be to live in a space like this in some version of a future, but in reality all the artificial lights coming into your apartment is not only terrible for your sleep quality but your vision health as well. Every morning you're gonna wake up groggy and tired as hell. But if those windows had black out curtains or some form of window frosting technology to keep lights (and sound) out on most nights, sure, it would be a nice place to live in. But wow awesome visuals. Amazing work!

I don't think the whole world will ever be just one vibe and ambience. Go one place and you have country/remote areas, go the other and you find this kind of neon cyberpunk city ambience, go to another and you have typical suburban life. It's not like the entire world will one day look exactly like this, it's just that you will have the option to make it look like this. And, to be honest, we're not even that far off today. If you see pictures of places like Tokya, Las Vagas, Los Angeles, and apparently a place in Japan literally called Cyberpunk city, you'll see it's actually quite similar, aside from the flying cars which are just glorified planes and helicopters.

Cyberpunk cities and natural remote lifestyles can be simultaneously embraced, we have plenty of space on the planet to do it.
