A tip that my mother always gave me with flowers and it seems to work well: flowers love sugary lemonade and it helps to sustain them for a little longer. Just mix lemonade and water instead of just water when you are keeping them in a vase.

I love the tote and the Dymocks special editions. (That’s the Sydney store on the tote! 💜) Your tablescape was precious. The gifted ornaments were perfect. Everything felt so summery and fresh. The plastic ‘glass wear’ looked great and very appropriate poolside. I get such anxiety when I entertain that I can’t relax enough to enjoy it, but I love the thought.

You should try the cherries and cheer scented products from the body shop that they have out for Christmas. I really wish I could but I’m allergic to one of the ingredients. I smelled it in store on Saturday and it’s so good.

I really loved ‘sorcery of thorns’ by Margaret Rogerson, it is such a good standalone fantasy novel. She also wrote another standalone fantasy called ‘An Enchantment of Ravens’ which is really good as well 🙌🏼

Hey Rach! Can I suggest that instead of buying floral foam every time you do an arrangement, that you use a ball of chicken wire instead? You can find lots of tutorials online for how to do this. The materials used in floral foam are toxic and don't break down - they also create heaps of microplastics which go down your sink. Also, you can breathe in the dust when you cut it, which is bad for your lungs. Just something to look into if you're interested :) In the case of the gerberas wilting, it could be that the stems are clogged - you can recut the stems in an angle under water and that might help :) Beautiful arrangements!! xx
