Got a C3 Lyney. One thing I realize is that the more you vertically invest in the magician boi, the easier it is to slot in defensive options (Like any dps lol) I run Deyha, and Lyney’s rotations are SUPER EASY. Just pop all the supports, spam charged attacks, and end with an Ult and Skill pop. Rinse and repeat.

Proud 2 time Neuvillette skipper here, about to be 3 time lol. His damage for the amount of skill you put into his gameplay is off the charts, but that's kind of what I don't like about him. Arlecchino and Mualani both have as good or higher damage ceilings but require a bit more careful inputs. New players should definitely go for Neuvillette! Just run him on one side and hyperbloom on the other and you'll hit 36 stars in abyss scary fast. As for the banners I'll prob throw a few ten pulls at the Chasca banner for Ororon, if Chasca comes home out of the blue it won't affect my ability to get Mavuika...

Chasca might be the wriothesley of Natlan, being the least the best but has strong potential with future units. I see working with chasca in breaking elemental shields . If we ever get characters like chevruse that arent locked to pyro and electro units she will really be cool to play with. Plus I think its time we can have another new anemo artifact set that does elemental shred even to a lesser extent but also works with crit stats that also work with wanderer and xiao so doing swirl with them would make more sense and give their flexibility a lot more sense to choose...

Tbh, the only pyro dps that is actually worth is arlechinno, if you have enough investment on your c6 gaming or hutao, there is zero reason to pull lyney, and if you have enough investment on lyney, there is no reason to pull hutao or gaming And I feel S tier should be reserved for the extremely broken units that work at any level of investment while being easy to use, if a character is S tier based on certain conditions, that means every 5 star dps is S tier if played under certain conditions , if you play any 5 star dps well, they clear at extremely fast times, that is why arlechinno and neuvillette are the S tier dps cus they can deal a lot of damage even if you don’t know how to play the game PS: Lyney on a 4 star weapon feels very sub par to play don’t expect the nukes you see on screen when you are using the Fontaine’s craftable bow

As a newer player I'm pulling for Chasca because while am good with Geo, Pyro & Electro Characters. I am severly lacking an Anemo, Cryo, Dendro & Hydro DPS, so I struggle a lot with Mobs and Bosses protected by Elemental Shields. Yeah, you can climb the zhong pillar, chasca though flies, soooooo... I think many of these movement skills from Natlan really shine in other areas than Natlan, in Natlan they are not that necessary due to the sauruses, I think, but really help in liyue and inazuma.

When I first pulled lyney I had lots of struggles with him but once I got the hang of it, making enemies disappear with one burst and skill just gives that dopamine rush that other characters could never. I pulled for mualani for the exact same thing but lyney just hits different idk mualani still feels kinda clunky to me the same way how lyney was clunky to me back then before furina's release.

Tldr: they should've buffed medicore elemental reactions Chasca doesn't even buff elements, if she buffed medicore elements like the recently buffed ones she could been an unit that has entirely different team archetype and an insane driver. Now all she needs is furina and Bennett the most used support in the game.

To anyone planning to pull for Lyney. Just get Lyney at C0 if you don't have enough for C0R1. Him with Song of Stillness (Fontaine craftable) is nothing to sneeze at when you don't have TFGM or Aqua. My Lyney hits 130k with his level 10 burst in a classic mono pyro team setup, it's around 160k when paired with Aqua. It's true that his vape teams with furina hit a lot more, but if you're planning on maining him, playing him all the time, it's worth nothing that mono pyro is a lot more consistent in a lot of scenarios, especially in the overworld content. Pull him, he's worth, he'll make all the enemies on your account disappear. Sincerely, a Lyney main since 4.0.

Feel very lucky that I got an early Nahida, so I don't have to pick between Chasca and Neuvi. My answer is math. Lol If I have enough saved to guarantee myself Mavuika, then everything past that is fair game. That said, I’m going to see if I can get Ororon, and then it’s Neuvi C1 (the first 5* constellation I’ll ever pull for but it’s because I love him, he lets me survive with my skill issues, and this widens his team flexibility even more). But the debate is up in the air if I lose 50/50 whether I’ll just save it for Mavuika anyway and/or likely see what the 5.3 rerun banners look like.

Chasca is the most versatile dps in the game, ability to not be locked out of any abyss due to her multi element nature makes her top notch for me, and from what I have seen in her kit, her damage is pretty solid without reactions, Unlike the rest who have specific elements, chasca has access to multiple elements, so she can never be bad in any abyss cycle

I wanted Chaska based on her looks and personality, but I think I'll wait for her rerun. The thing is, anemo DPSes kinda don't stick with me for long. I have Xiao on one account and Wanderer on main that I don't really play. Even for tge Theatre I kinda stick them in the lower difficulty stages and hope it works, while the bosses get treated to Nevillette, Arlecchino, Clorinde, Navia, whichever is available. I kinda expect to drop her soon if I pull her. I think to me either Neuvillette C2 or skipping for Mavuika makes sense. I have C1 Nevillette with BP catalyst (I'm kinda traumatised from pulling Xilonen signature atm, so I don't consider the weapon banner currently). Neuvillette is my go-to for Abyss and I honestly can't really think of him as boring. His animations are still too much fun for me, he works well, I have the most investment in his team with Furina having C1 and Chiori's weapon and Xilonen being C1R1 (I'm definitely going C2 on rerun and potentially C4 later on) and I have Kazuha with that Sumeru gacha sword. It just makes sense to vertically invest, considering most of my Genshin time (been playing since 2.3) was spent investing horizontally until Neuvillette. It's just a team I really like. Consistently like. The team that I won't drop once a new shiny character appears. I've mained more "challenging" gameplay-wise characters before, but where are they now? Sometimes being used in the Theatre, unused most of the time.

Chasca is not really a traditional anemo DPS, who are lacklustre without faruzan c6. She is infusion based so damage she is doing is based on her teammates's elements.

the only question that always comes to my mind when it comes to chasca is if she infuses her attacks based on her teammates element, what type of goblet would she use? (ik it may be based on her teammates but isn’t it exhausting always changing goblets when changing teams??)

Your go through piece would be atk% gob if you don't wanna change goblets everytime for a new team but if you wanna try something different. You can use each PECH goblet depending upon what team you're gonna play with chasca. For ex - for pyro based reactions such as vape, melt and overload a pyro gob would be good. for mono cryo or reverse melt cryo gob would be good. Same goes for hydro and electro. But still the atk% gob is a better choice overall.

ATK% will work for all of them :) you don't pick specific goblets for specific teams, she can't infuse more than 1 bullet with 1 element if that makes sense- 1 pyro bullet only per team even if there's 2 pyros there

Anemo Dps really need to have something for you to choose them like more difference from having Mono Geo to break Shields that requires blunt force or just mere Geo to shred.

Like lol especially Wanderer he does the same job as Xiao just that he is a catalyst can be a driver but is dps lost in rainbow teams. At least Hoyoverse could encourage people more to use such teams to Anemo since from the very beginning anemo is also marketed for that kind of reaction and barely got use aside to defense shred up until now. Will you even just do just swirl dmg nowadays without considering the consistent raw dmg from the characters itself.

I want Mavuika alright. I already have Zhongli and Neuvillette, so I am a little conflicted for Chasca and Lyney. I'd probably think Chasca is an improved Wanderer in terms of overworld travel, and Lyney to get my collection of House of Hearth. But I may consider skipping 5.2 for Mavuika.

tbh bc of the fact that Neuvillette is such a good character i wont ever pull for him. Hoyo made him way too good, so good that other dps characters are not valuable compared to him. I'm not saying that bc i hate him (i liked him in the story) but imagine this: you wanna play some random coop just for fun and fight bosses, then theres ALWAYS one Neuvillette haver who IMMEDIATELY takes him out, then you are in the fight and its in less than 30 seconds over bc the oh so almighty neuvillette haver had to use him. Where's the fun in the game then? Or Abyss, its supposed to be a challenge but then people use neuvillette, no wonder hoyo makes abyss harder and harder when people keep using a character they can clear the supposedly hard challenge easily within seconds. Hoyo needs to nerf him but every neuvillette haver would just whine around like a baby just like the CN community that wanted to sue hoyo for a ridiculous reason. Someone fought the exact same abyss after neuvillette's 'nerf' to see the difference and it literally were only 3 seconds💀 like bro wtf you all want? he still cleared and they whined around like someone took their favorite toy. Again, i like Neuvillette as a character but i hate his gameplay and Kit for being too good for the game. If i could chose a playable character to be not playable anymore, I'd choose Neuvillette even tho theres one specific character i wished it wouldn't even exist bc i hate them personally. Neuvillette just takes the fun out of the game imo. And releasing a stronger character than him is also not the solution bc it makes the other dps' even less valuable.

If mavuika has pyro res shred then yes she can replace kazuha, but double swirl is kinda underrated in lyney furina teams. A kazuha but teamwide healer might actually be meta changing but i dont think theyd release that specially after furina's existance.

Nope take it from me my c1r1 Hu Tao was immediately power crept by my c0r1 Lyney and the difference was quite big, he’s just a total nuke and what creators are you watching? He’s always been meta, most probably rate him lower because he’s a dps in a replaceable position same as others, most ppl have skill issue and can’t do his proper set up or charge shots to get his full potential so that’s one thing they rate him on but he’s still the 2nd best pyro dps hands down and I have all 3 well invested

Lyney has gotten low ratings because he is harder than most and also a lot of ppl just don't like his playstyle (me included)but at the end of the day he has some of the highest single target dps in the game and definitely beats hutao in dmg

Not many people actually own Lyney and he's difficult to play optimally so nobody knows how good he actually is. Whereas everyone and their grandmother has a Hu Tao (and if you don't the Hu Tao stans are gonna scream about how good she is into your ear) + she's relatively easy to use, so she's a good benchmark

I probably shouldn't be pulling for Lyney because my fingers are inherently shaky (I can't thread a needle, burn myself when soldiering and they can sometimes randomly decided to not to work. Though they usually don't decide not to work, when that happens, I can hold a sausage roll lols). However...It's LYNEY! I love the dude, and we have no idea when his third rerun will be. Also, when you have dexterity issues, it can be really helpful to challenge yourself. (my mum has them bcs she had a stroke, I was just born with it, but she used to be unable to do anything with her right hand but by playing shit like Halo and other games as well as just doing stuff, she got a lot better) I also won't ever pull Arlecchino simply because I for some reason despise her playstyle? Idk why, but it's just not really my cup of tea, so pulling him is a good idea as he's the 2nd best pyro dps. Though I'll also pull for Neuvi when he comes (if I win my 50/50s, then I should be able to get both easily bcs I'm currently at 75 pity and have 53 pulls. However, I should be able to, even if I have to scrounge around a bit. And then I might try and get a Zhongli depending on things at the time. Anyways, thanks for coming to my autistic yap sess :D
