The ordering thing twice a week is fine, but need over 10 item limit. I am ordering 60-70 per day to keep up. I spend 45 minutes stocking for each 1 in game day. What they really need is a dolly/hand truck to move several boxes at once.

I haven't done any loans. I'm not sure it's really worthwhile honestly. I ended up laying out my storage in a way that each product has a slot that's easy to find because it matches how I have the products laid out on the shelf. Basically each row on the racks is one row of shelves, and I have my products taking up entire columns on the shelves like you do. And I have two boxes of each product at all times, and when one box runs out I queue it up to by more. Except toilet paper, chicken, and potatoes, which I have more boxes of in separate racks, because each box only holds four. Then at the end of the day I make sure everything has the correct number of boxes in stock. It was very expensive to get going but it lets me keep things in stock more consistently without having to figure out what I do or don't need to buy, especially during the day. I also don't close partial boxes, so I can easily tell the difference. If it changed so we had to order ahead, that would have to come after the analytics update, which I'm really looking forward to either way.

This is one of the reasons I'm completely against the Kroger/Safeway/Albertsons merger. It would give one company over 60% market share in the Pacific Northwest/Western USA and would be bad for consumers as well as employees. Luckily the FTC has opposed this.

I'm doing the same as you: an entire storage unit for each item - and I do it for two reasons: 1) it's easier to rearrange the shop layout, when all items on a unit are the same, and 2) splitting a unit between 2 different items you will sometimes run out of something during the day, unless you are constantly re-stocking... and why do I not want to be restocking during opening hours? Because in order to unlock employees, you need to personally work at the cash register. I'm also taking the licenses at a slow pace - sure, you'll earn more, the more different goods you carry, but it's also more work to stock, and I prefer this workload to increase in small increments.

What I'd like to see is some sort of inventory sheet on the computer. One that keeps track of how many of each product you have in stock and which products have to be re-ordered. Having a blast playing this.

You were right! I started playing this game and couldn't stop. Also you can get a perfect score pretty easily btw if you go closer to market price. It doesn't have to be under but I do 25 cent increments and no one complains about prices. Come on Kage, 25 cents is still easy to manage 😆

Maybe they should make it so that once you open the storage room you have access to higher bulk discounts so you buy more than 5 boxes of goods you get a 5% discount (to make you wanna buy in bulk) but you can only do the discount twice a week

I always put out back-stock and reorganize if needed first thing in the morning before I order new stuff. That way I’m never buying more when I already have more in back. I’ll usually check every price after that and then open the store after that. I’ve found as long as each facing is stocked 80-90% full, I never run out during the day even if I don’t stock more during the day. Idk if that will change as my store gets bigger though. Anyway and then I run the second register personally so I’m doing something different and not just playing stock the shelves simulator. I kinda like standing there waiting for customers to check out. Gives me time to think how I want to rearrange the store next day. 😂

Full product shelves are great, enjoy it until the update of gone off dates. Love to see a more compact Isle system. But yeah there a few big products that's going need atleast one shelf unit by them selves. Cutting any stocking from a row of shelves, just makes more work in the end. Keep up the vids! I just started playing this game last night and I'm now addicted to it. I've gotten by so far without taking any loans so far, not worthwhile IMHO; I just grind day after day and upgrade as necessary. By the way, in case you haven't notice, if there is are change in market prices, you can take a look at the market section on the computer. The products that have changed in market price will either have a red down arrow if it's price dropped or a green up arrow vice versa. And I agree that the game should display all the products the customer cannot find - really would help a lot especially later in the game. Anyways, thanks for inspiring me to play this game

Loans are 100% not worth it. I’ve never once had an issue getting what I want in this game, you just have to save up the money you make. Too many people want to speed run and thats fine but the loan really is not necessary. Grinding the game is part of the fun for myself

My pricing strategy is to set prices about 5 % over market rounded to 10 cent increments. This way I get almost no overpriced item complaints. I tried 10 % over market which nearly the same daily income but alot of complaints and I tried undercutting market which led to less income. So 5 % over market is a good solution for me.

IRL there’s no great way to keep track of what is in your back stock. Even with computer inventory, things always end up getting messed up and misplaced. You either need to write on the boxes what’s inside or you have to check each box manually.

The loans is where you can get into the most trouble with this game, and go bankrupt, if you aren't careful. Obviously, there are other ways too, but these are the easiest ways. There are sliders on each loan so you can change the terms to pay them off faster, but higher payments, or pay them off slower at lower payments. Paying off early is always a good idea. They can be helpful when you want to do the big expansions, but as you said Kage, you have to make sure have the money for the payments. Those late fees are killer!

Pizza, Chicken and fries need a freezer. chicken is 4 pieces to one freezer and they go through it real fast at times. Potato bag are really big and on shelves 2 to a row and also clean out fast.

perfect score is just set it to market price still havent figured out how much you can markup like 5% or 10% etc until customers complain. EDIT: You only need to get section 7 that finishes that square then 8/9/10 is the next set for store expansions to keep it squared

If they did do restock every so many days what they could do is have a choose 3,5,7 for how long takes in order To buy more products and thats the difficulty and you get like a discount on purchases also either make the cart unlimited or just increased to 50+ they could also add in world events like christmas halloween ect and the ability to do store discounts. Another idea is the samplers where customers can try products outside and you can choose what it is. So it increase likelihood of the item selling. Also another one is things like made in house things so have a kitchen so bread, cake, fried chicken, mac n cheese. Then you use your product to produce cooked food and that would be another hiring position. Also you are forced into having products on shelf if you have the license. I think this needs to change if you don’t have a label on a shelf the customer shouldn’t complain or look for that item. That way its more realistic and you can choose what you want. This would also open up the developer ability to add more items ect. Also another idea would be the ability to put the store room where you want it rather then it just being on the right hand side.

They look like marshmallows to me. The customers who either can't find what they're looking for, or think the prices are too high, have the message float above their heads as they walk out the store. If you're busy doing something, it's easy not to see it. There should be a record of any grievances at the end of each day that you can assess and deal with accordingly.

Would love to see a criminals update. Burglars that steal your storage if you let the door to the outside open without a reason/for too long. Ordered items too long outside. Chances of customers stealing something and you need to buy a electronic tag surveillance to protect yourself from it. Chances of burglas breaking in from night to day update screen where you receive unexpected losses. I really hope the dev doesn't just brainlessly add quality of life improvements like seeing the products you stored in your storage somewhere instead it should be locked by employees you need to hire to gain that privilege. E.g warehouse clerk for QoL improvements and auto-refill. Store detective reducing break-ins and theft etc.

I understand what you mean. Do you have a lot of shelving? I know this may sound counter productive but what I found helps is having multiple shelves for the same product so it does not run out as fast. This helps from keeping me too overwhelmed with the game. Take it at your own pace and restart if you aren’t happy!

If there was a delivery limit, that would hurt the early game so hard given that you easily run out of product early in the game(due to not having much money) and it would basically force you to be complete jerks to the customers with the prices even to break even.

And, I don't consider it exactly a fun challenge because you would have to get a loan just to get through the early game, which would screw over people like Kage who don't like taking loans out in games. Plus, you can only buy one or two boxes for that first delivery, which isn't lasting multiple days anyway.

I was getting annoyed so I finally got an employee so I could at least keep stocking while the store is running. Tedious is a great word for how the game can feel occasionally. I wish it would stay on the screen until you dismissed it because I hate having to scroll through everything to figure out what prices have changed.

@Kage848 My customers burn through merchandise like crazy and there's no way I can afford to buy enough products to last more than a day let alone have enough space to store it all. That's a half-baked idea man! Now, maybe when I have all the upgrades to the storeroom it might be feasible... but for now, I only have the level 3 expansion and all my racks get filled and emptied out every day and I'm still stacking stuff in the aisles because there's no enough room.

Upgrading too much makes it too hard to keep stocked. I would worry about saving up your money for product instead of constantly expanding BUT we all have different play styles so do what makes you happy in game! I normally make sure I have at least around $700 in game to order my products, maybe more once I get my storage room. You’ll eventually be able to stock your store room fully if you save up! You got this

It is illegal for stores to communicate to fix prices. It is not illegal to visit each others stores and adjust your prices based on what you see there.

That would be way to stressful and would also need basically a whole rework of the game because at the start not having a quick restock option would literally kill you. If you only have 1-2 items you sell, and they are parishable, if they sell out or spoil before you can restock(which would literally happen)you would have completely empty days where you can sell nothing. As you get bigger it may not be as much as a issue but the game is fun and cozy as it is.
