Vanilla sounds boring, but if you get really good vanilla bean ice cream, it's actually super exotic. I mean, vanilla beans come from tropical orchids, and it can get pretty steamy in the jungle! It may not be a creative flavor, but it's a good one.

They don't use celsius... they meant 20F, which is below freezing. There were some mornings below freezing in many parts of Southern California a week ago, but it was probably more like 28-30f (-1 to -2C) and then about 14C in the daytime. Today should actually reach 20C (68F) -- much nicer!
