Hello my friend listen to me and listen to me well. You matter. If you need a moment to yourself it is ok we understand. When we feel a piece of us missing we go through motions as zombies. We have life but with out emotions we don't live. I understand where you are coming from and if i was there i would go you a big hug and tell you that i still love your hair lol and of course it is going to be ok. I felt like this after losing a pet I was very close to. Took quite a long time. I would talk to people and they just wouldn't get it. How could you have so much feeling for this animal that it makes you feel so down now. But it just was the case. Eventually something popped me out of funk when I was talking to someone about it. Nothing they said I think. I think it was just me saying how I felt, saying that I didnt know why I felt like this but it was ok, and also saying that I want to stop. I still love that pet with all my heart, but now I am finally not feeling down. Good luck on your journey through loss.

If you want to continue the overlanding journey for yourself, not for KZbin, you don’t just need just another Landcruiser, but one that gives you everything you had before, and more, not one that is an inferior compromise. In terms of being alone, there are good and bad things about being alone, as there are about being with family or part of a larger circle of friends. The first step is to find some positives about your current situation, even if they are small ones. Be patient with yourself and fine those positives, then you can move out into the world from a strong personal position. Stay strong

When our mindset, is not fruitful or pleasant, it's like growing weeds, in the backyard...soon they get to reduce our view, of what we should be seeing, of what really is still there. You know I’m going to suggest moving down here. There is a shortage of skilled workers for a start. We also have Landcruisers everywhere but you know that already. Warmer weather. Good pay rates. Most of all, we work to live not live to work. When you live in a country where the Toyota Hilux is the top selling car, followed by a Ford Ranger, you know the weekends are going to be fun. I’m no therapist but that is all I can suggest apart from do everything at your pace. We will wait for you. So will our stunning Perth sunsets.

Seasons of life go like this. Been there a long time and it's now over for me now. I didn't the work treating it like a multiple choice test in life and I did all of the choices and then some. Live on my dear ... I've had two times like it in my life at 64, so far. You'll definitely find your way.

We all have moments of sorrow and loneliness. I can't give good advice, only you know where you are and what you need. I love to travel with family, I was a traveling salesman for 2 years with a 5 state territory. Traveling alone was tough for me, even when seeing customers and staying at hotels along the way. You seem to be able to enjoy your solitude. I hope with therapy and reflection you will be able to enjoy traveling alone again. If you want friendship, maybe that is the answer. Finding a travel partner may help, only by trying it you could find out...Peace.

You won't believe what happened to me. I got really depressed and then, on top of that, my father died (june last year). The month after my dad died my wife since 22 years cheated on me. Even though I was willing to work on the relationship, she divorced me a few months later. Now I'm forced to sell our house, as none of us can afford the mortage on our own. I'm 47 so I couldn't dream this would happen to me at this stage in my life. We had everything. Our dream house, a sports car, a home theater... Now I'm considering building a car just like yours and "disappear". I found your channel just now, because I'm looking to buy a 100-series Land Cruiser specifically, with a similar solution with a sleeping platform and storage underneith. Anyways, amazing content I must say. Don't stop! BTW, I also sing and play the guitar (did it professionally way back in my 20s). And that song you play at the end - that was my ex-wife's favourite song. It's crazy how our fates seem so similar. Your videos resonate very strongly with me. It seems we're oceans apart, but like you said - atleast we know "we're not alone" in our struggles. That there are people just like us, going though something very similar.

Monique, you need an adventure buddy! Someone to help with all the work that goes into these road trips, not because it's alot of hard work but someone to share the fruit of the labor, someone to talk to you, someone to laugh with, someone that is going to say let's cross that river, mudhole, snow drift, or make it to the next gas station becuase if we don't make it, we have each other and we'll figure it out together. I feel like a nobody talking to a celebrity of sorts haha but I know my worth and I'm sure you do as well even without all of us cheering you on. I'll just throw this out there...If you are ever feeling lonely and you have the time, come on down to Utah and we'll share one of my favorite trails to a camp spot and we'll have a great time together.
