Adaptive helm should be more in line with the "adaptive" theme, adaptive protection instead of adaptive force. It can provide more protection from physical or magic damage the more damage you take from either source.

I'm glad someone else agrees with how ridiculous Kai'Sa is. Someone a couple months ago (note that this is a diamond player) said to me that she is "very rarely played at diamond+" and that she was ridiculously weak... Yes, a champion that is able to build almost every offensive item in the game, and at the time that this person said this, was at an around 35% playrate, with around a 10% banrate... yes she must be very weak and is very rarely seen if she is involved in basically half of all games played in diamond+

The problem there isn't Kai'Sa. We just need more viable ADCs in that case. Why would you continue to nerf a strong champ rather than buffing alternatives? Yes she is very strong but they could easily buff another scaling ADC so she isn't the only one. Remember Twitch and Kog'Maw?

@@EddieB-ready The issue is, removing damage for one champ doesn't solve any problems. It just makes other problems arise. Nerfing Kai'Sa won't fix any balance issues ADCs have. Another ADC will take her place and people will still complain. I myself, am an advocate for adding defensive options to the game. Hash isn't wrong, tank items aren't great. The fact that the best MR option in the game is actually a mage item is a problem. MR items need a huge buff rather than nerfing mages. Armor items need to be tweaked so they're not so one-sided. Then ADCs need more diverse options so it's not just triple crit every game. Kai'Sa being able to build multiple offensive options isn't a problem. The fact that she's the only one or one of few is the problem. They don't need to add damage they just need to add options.

Vayne's entire identity as a champion is a massive balancing issue. She's built by design to be an adc who shreds tanks with max hp based true damage. But with the early rank Q buffs and all the buffs she's gotten in the past, silver bolts in general has become such a key ability for her (and having PtA only makes the point even larger) that she's perpetually in a state of unusable or really good. If you make her early game weak as it should be and has been historically, she becomes unplayable in relevant levels of play because good players know how to abuse her weak early game and use the lead to snowball the game into ending before she's relevant. But if you make her early game survivable in any way, she's just...well, overpowered, she can survive and possibly even win the laning phase with silver bolts PtA burst trades and then use her massive scaling with silver bolts to blow up anything and everything no matter how much hp or armor it has. Thought assassins could kill her? Lul no stealth condemn. On the opposite end, if you try to make her late game weaker, you'd have to make silver bolts so weak to where it also cripples her early game power, plus you kill her champion identity as a whole, and then there's no reason whatsoever to pick her over Jinx, Trist or Kai'sa. She's just a complete mess of a champion balance wise.

PTA is so damn underrated... It doesn´t have to fall off a cliff lategame. After 3 autos you deal extra damage and make this enemy vulnerable so that he gets extra damage out of ALL sources, meaning that not only you deal extra damage to them but also your allies. Imagine a Veigar would hit a tank for 1k damage, it gets empowered by 12% and deals 200 damage extra. The same counts for any other damage source, even for items, but true damage stuff (Ignite, Vayne E etc) won´t deal extra damage.

mister hashinshin im pretty damn sure that grasp is the best melee laning rune. PTA comes right after and conq is really really only good in extended trades or lategame when it outscales. but since the meta is all about the early game, dragons, pressure and snowballing there is no point in taking conqueror anymore. grasp does give you 5 max health per use, heals you, does damage, and when you do short trades it has no side effects as to you have to StIcK on your target like "PTA" or "CONQ" on top of it there are runes like bone plating and the overgrowth runes that even FURTHER make it better to make short trades and gives you even mroe health DIMINISHING the base damage of PTA and CONQ ad stacking. Just think about it.

Press the attack is better on most champions early. Anyone who can proc it quickly has more damage than grasp. Grasp is the best only for 1 auto trades.

@@Kernwadi Nasus and Garen still take it in matchups where they can auto attack their opponent in lane. Most tanks use grasp for lane and aftershock for late game. Its pretty much preference as to which one you take. The reason you see so little of it is that tanks arent viable.

Warwick is irrelevant imo (you dont take grasp or PTA for junglers, you need more burst than PTA provides and grasp needs constant procs to scale well.) Camille cant go aftershock (or rather shouldn't) as it puts too much of her power in landing her e. There are situations in which this changes, but 9/10 times there is a general rune that is optimal atm

At 3:06 when referring to Darius's Conqueror and looking at it's accumulated stats he misreads it as "about 200" when really it's just 110+24 and you can ignore the top number. The top number is basically saying 73 true damage has been dealt, but since this keystone only converts 8% of your damage TO true, and it was already damage you had anyways, it didn't actually create 73 new true damages. Instead Darius only got 24 damage out of that Conqueror 12 minutes into the game. 24. That's it. Also it has healed him 110hp, 12 minutes into the game when Fleet Footwork would have healed you for 1k already. I kept telling people game after game, making forums posts about it, commenting on youtube videos about it, but the version of Conqueror that is showcased in this video was drastically underpowered, and people amazingly misunderstood it so much. What's even worse is that the keystone did so little for Darius it was actually trash. Anytime he has Conqueror stacked he has 5 stacks of passive too so the ultimate is already dealing true damage. Therefore Conqueror essentially had no interaction with Darius's ultimate, it did NOTHING. Yet people took it as some sort of divine gospel that Darius had to take the damn keystone.. The reworked version is now insanely OP, much more so than old Conqueror could ever have hoped to be. We got fucking mages taking it mid lane like Kassadin and now everyone's a fucking drain tank all they need is Conqueror. It got the buff I was saying it needed but this is much too far...

I feel like they should make PTA have a higher cooldown by alot in the early game, but in exchange it should be procced by abilities and shred 10% (early) -20% (late game) of the opponent's resistances. That way combo champions would still have a good rune besides conqueror or electrocute to use in specific MUs while still having a passable anti-tank option

Adaptive should be a lifelinea item, after losing a % amount of your max health in a short time you get some % damage reduction for physical and magic damage or something like that

On Spectre's Cowl... Health is a better stat early game than armor and MR. Spectre's Cowl is giving you protection against both magic and physical damage in this regard, along with giving you a small health regen to pair with the runes you have that are already giving you sustain. You'll notice there are no item components that give both armor and health at the same time. Because it would be too strong for the laning phase. This is why Spectres is balanced as is and probably wont be getting changed. The real problem is there is not enough variation in the final items. If you're a heavy mana AP bruiser type, you are locked into abyssal mask no matter what. And if you dont use mana, you're forced into visage and adaptive helm. If we had more options than these, we could talk about getting better components for the lane phase.

Vayne is indeed like Fiora, pick her top with PTA, do half the enemy melee champ's hp in 3 hits while barely getting in his dash range, if even. Then you get a better version of Tristana's ultimate (for 1v1) as your E, a low cd dash and movespeed to catch up as the melee champ retreats and you have the perfect lane bully that also scales very well, has tower damage on her Q and does not have significant mana costs. Her downside is that she is relatively easily gankable, she may not fit the comp and she loses against mages (surprise surprise) and some specific matchups.

I used to be a vayne main but this whole "lets keep vayne pushing around" just became insanely annoying, i totally stopped touching that champ. i want the times back where she actually had to perform well on lane to survive it and was dependant on actually outplaying lane opponents rather than being a lane bully who is still seen by everyone as being a weak lane champ. guess what? her lane is waaaay to strong. she had the time pre 8.2 patch where she just dominated hard and riot decided to directly cut her half so she was unplayable (and even nerfed statics shiv at a time, when vayne was the only champ who actually preferred statics over rapidfire), on top of that they pushed adc and crit item changes which even hit her more, 1/2 year after riot is like "nah lets just push her w to the moon, give her cd reduce on her tumble yadayada" so she can be top tier again. but only to hit rageblade afterwards because yeah there is only a handfull of champs who buy this item and 2 of them are vayne and kai sa who clearly can do whatever they want at this point. LETS NERF RAGEBLADE.............. i just miss the old times so hard... vayne 2k18 & 2k19 is not the vayne i grew up with and the only thing i like about this vayne is her updated story in the lore not to mention her random e buff recently just to push her into being played again...

I think PTA with Cut Down on an AD carry is too powerful to adjust PTA for late game, but if they'd adjust it with different numbers for ranged, it might be good. Maybe too good on Nocturne and stuff though. EDIT: "PTA should have a melee modifier" -- Oops, I spoke too soon. Ye. A Lucian with a buffed PTA/Botrk and Cut Down would absolutely shred everyone with no counterplay. Even buffing PTA to just 14% late game, Botrk would be dealing 10.5% max HP damage in conjunction with Cut Down. Buffing for melee could be cool.

@@sikusher I know, but the recent buffs to it and the nerfs to CDG make it close even in the laning phase. I'm talking about a game where you would want to be killing tanks as an ADC, and the comparison of a "buffed" PTA vs. Lethal Tempo. CDG only activates at 40% health for 8%, while CD activates at 10% HPdif for minimum 5% damage, which is achievable by simply not taking the scaling health rune and having the enemy support be anything but Yuumi. Ezreal actually starts the game with 15% less health than Kaisa and Lucian.

I mean, they're different things, but they'd work together. Lucians used to always go Botrk/Cleaver... with PTA. PTA increases damage to the target by (currently) up to 12%. I was more talking about the combination with Cut Down on tanks, obviously adding an armor pen item helps that. Although not necessarily, technically speaking botrk deals more damage the higher a target is, so the premitigation damage would be insanely high if you're hitting a full health tank with PTA proc and Cut Down. Adding a Cleaver to the mix is nice, but not necessary, might be better to move into crit or build your healing debuff item. You see Lucians going Botrk/Reaver into IE/PD/RFC, etc. Part of Black Cleaver is the 20% cdr and the movespeed on hit, but you can achieve the exact same effect from Reaver/Phantom Dancer, and then finish Infinity Edge and have way more damage than Black Cleaver. Also, should be noted, Black Cleaver can reduce your Cut Down damage. lol
