Imagine being an artist and sumbody makes more money from you’re art than you do. Guess that’s why it’s called the music business, Bcus the artist makes the music , and the label does the business.

See, this is why I believe all of this stuff is rigged. You done generated $12M, but only ended up taking $30K home. Man, please. Raise up. Like that's not right, yo. I believe the labels used to give artists set prices. "Ok, Spice 1. He's just some ol' rapper. Let's give him...Oh I don't know... Let's give him $30K. That should be enough (more than enough) for somebody like him." Folks keep talkin' 'bout some "lawyers," but the gag is that a lot of labels assigned in-house lawyers to they artists and if they weren't assigned in-house lawyers, other lawyers that handled music business affairs were kinda affiliated w/ the label in some way, shape or form. Hire another lawyer to handle yo' primary lawyer. All of that sounds good, but sh¡t... Lawyers ain't no nickels & dimes nah. Lawyers cost a coin. I just believe all of this stuff is rigged. En Vogue made $0.02 if a unit moved. TLC generated $75M, but only ended up pocketing $50K per girl. Artists gotta pay record labels back for various expenses, worry about taxes and themselves. Next thing you know, you done ended up in the red looking stupider than Jupiter. The execs done purchased all the latest luxury cars while you can barely get on the doggon bus. I can see why artists use to go up to record labels w/ guns and bats. And see, all that "it's all about the art" BS goes right outta the window when them checks come up short.
