The media RUINED Victoria Beckham. Before they were famous, Victoria didn't have the burden of millions of people telling her that she couldn't sing for no reason, so she sang from the heart. Now, since people have said so many bad things about her and her singing abilities, Victoria is so subconscious when she sings that it hurts her. She honestly isn't the best, and never claimed to be. But with more confidence, she really sang great.

well originally victoria was supposed to be the lead like how Mel C takes alot of the parts, but when they came up with their personas they down graded victoria so she fit the 'Posh' persona, it's why she got little singing, look at Wannabe she only sang the lyrics, so it is the media but its also their manager/producer cause they told them how they should act and be to fit the personas and they wanted Victoria to be the 'Sexy' in her heels and tight clothing. but at the same time she was in a band that was amazing so she shouldn't really give a shit what people thought about her singing, cause honestly NO ONE sounds amazing as their record album voices. she should've been more confidence in her voice i don't blame her but come on she was ina girl group with huge personalities and was performing every chance they could, i would've been more like 'i'm on stage bitches, let's see you do this in these heels and see if you can dance and walk and not far off the stage'

man/woman or whatever...the media were saying that they coudn´t sing except Melanie C (there are a lot of facts, magazine´s editorials, music´s specialists and many more agree with the media) all the time, even nowadays; but the others, never felt those comments like something personal, for example, Geri wasn´t a good singer but she had a strong personality and for that reason she had success; VB changed a lot with Beckham mania, and then her music wasn´t bad but the industry is always demanding more and more...so if you didn´t make a solo record like "Northern Star", you can do something a lit bit better like Emma´s maybe or Geri left me up; look all the matters that mel b had/has and she doesn´t quit to sing cuz her voice isn´t good like in the early days. I think, that VB wannabe withe them cuz she isn´t close to them and a long time ago they aren´t friends like in the past.

I’ve always LOVED Victoria’s voice ! She can sing really well. I don’t get why people say that she can’t. She stood out in this (along with Mel c) and owned the whole performance.

She's not the best singer by any means, but she had her own vocal style that was underrated. Emma has the sweet bright voice, Mel B has a loud raucous voice, Geri a sexy husky voice, Melanie C the operatic powerhouse voice, and Victoria the smooth elegant voice. They all sang like their personas!

Later on she had some dodgy moments being flat in live performances.. I think Cos she’s quiet, seen as ‘posh’ (she isn’t) and went on to great success that people enjoy taking the piss out of her.

This took place in late 1994 after they were all living together for months and rehearsing every day. And right after this showcase they would leave their manager in the middle of the night and never look back ....and they became the Spice Girls.

They rehearsed ALL the time. I feel like Victoria & Mel B were two voices that would have benefitted a ton from rehearsals & warmups (as you can clearly see here!). If rehearsals & warmups were kept up after they became so popular & busy that rehearsal was the last thing on their minds. It was easy for Emma & Mel C to jump cold into singing (though I know Mel C is on record saying she warmed up more than anyone). & Mel B back in the day did have good control (though with the smoking, she really did lose her technique & her voice, sadly), but Victoria always sounded smooth. I imagine if she had kept up with rehearsing & warmups, (& minus Beckham-mania & Rebecca Loos) we'd have gotten Open Your Eyes double album extravaganza. Time goes on but wow

The stories about them were always consistently praising them for being fun and cheeky, but also professional, polite, never showing up late, and NO diva antics. Btw I am a huge spice girls fan, I'm not putting them down in the slightest, but comments saying they made it on their own are false. They auditioned for an off screen program just like X factor and all those, but back in the day that's how they did it, off screen. They were the winners and so formed the band. You can't diss shows like X factor. It takes a load of effort before you even get on the show to get to that point. It's not as simple as one audition bang famous.

Gotcha. I think what happened was the makeovers they received to look more the part of a pop girl group aged them. If that makes sense. Could be the makeup or the way they wore their hair. For example, VB looks so different...she was wearing jeans in this video and had long hair. But by the time Wannabe came out she had transformed into the Posh Spice look.

Atiya Bodique It’s funny because while each of them were like their names (re: Posh, etc) they were also very different. Victoria had an amazing sense of humor, Emma was actually more naughty then you’d believe, etc. At their height in 1997 they really were playing up characters.

la mejor voz es y será mel C, victoria No tenia mala voz pero pasaron varias cosas, las otras mejoraron vocalmente, sobre todo Emma y Mel B, Ellas tres (las melanies y emma) fueron las bases vocales del grupo, geri le aportó más creatividad y fue su ambición la que las llevó a lo más alto (leonina = líder), victoria logró que Fuller le haga el PR stunt con Beckham y le salió muy bien, de cualquier manera creo que su confianza en la música se pierde cuando no le va bien como solista, pero creo que encontró algo que le gustaba más.
